Prince Phil has a massive fear of flying, so will be travaling there only be land and sea, so is setting out much earlier than is needed in order to arrive in time ofr the corronation. Larry is a long time aide and friend to President Pot and has a major role, even though it lacks a title, in arms development and military actions. As our great nations are neighbours, she will be travelling in full Cavalry convoy as part of the Presidents own Imperial Guard and will arrive shortly before the coronation. As a gesture of trust and goodwill, the Cavalry troopers will disarm prior to entering your land. The president has declared the day a national holiday in order that our citizens can join in the planned celebrations. He also wishes it to be known that the new Emperor Justinus has his support and that TARPS can be relied upon to help secure your borders during the celebrations, in order that more of your citizens can attend. Both gentlemen attended the coronation of Mikael IX Palaiologos so many years ago, and they volonteered to be present at the coronation of the Emperors son Justinus. Â Link to comment

We salute the emperor of the Byzantine Empire and are thankfull for our envitation. This kind gesture is highly appreciated by our peoples. That is why, as our representative for the coronation, the empire of Orioni will pay our respect to you by sending our highest representative: Empress Orioni herself. Though it is highly irregular to leave her empire, she wishes to personally show her respect by comming to the Byzantine Imperial Palace. She will of course be accompanied by her own personal guards. How the party will get to Byzantium Nova is kept secret, but travel by sea is one of the possibilities, as Orioni has a large fleet of beautiful vessels. She is making a short visit to the island to check on the proceedings and advancements, and also to stimulate our regions interest for this great colonial effort. Many colonists came to salute the Empress and wished her good luck on Her voyage to Konstantinopolis, the capital of Byzantium Nova. It is expected that the royal vessel will be arriving this night, in time for the corronation that will be taking place tomorrow. Link to comment
Byzantium Nova Posted October 23, 2004 Author Share Posted October 23, 2004 The court of Byzantium Nova and all foreign quest gathered to the throne room as the ceremony was announced to begin. Mikael IX stood next to the throne accompanied by the Empress, waiting. Then the doors of the throne room opened and Justinus and his wife walked towards his father followed by two Imperial Guard -captains. As they arrived to his father Mikael started to speak in latin and asked several questions to which kneeled Justinus answered in latin. This continued for some time untill Mikael took a bottle from the senesalch that was standing nearby and holding several items like Imperial scepter and two purple cloaks. The bottle contained oil that was used only in this ceremony. Â "And thus I declare you, Andronikos V, the Emperor and your wife, Constantia, the Empress of the Byzantines, may your reign be long and glorious. Take now the signs of the Emperor and rule well." The old Emperor said and took the Imperial Tiara from his head and gave it to his son who put it to his head. Then the old Empress gave also her tiara to the new Empress. Lastly the old Emperor used a tiny amount of the oil to the foreheads of the kneeled couple. Â The people in the Throne room cheered as the new Emperor stood up and looked to the gathered people. Â Afterwards he presented himself and his wife to the cheering crowd outside of the palace and took the oath of faithfulness from the commanders of his army. Jacob Taren Posted October 27, 2004 Share Posted October 27, 2004 His Excellence himself, the leader of Sevrun, walked among the festivities, rarely speaking but seemingly enjoying himself. Two fully armed and armored members of his guard were at his side the entire time. Â Foreign Affairs Minister Taren was also present, though with a much lower profile than His Excellence. He talked with several of the other leaders in the region and took the opportunity to scout out potential customers for the upcoming military projects. Link to comment

Byzantium Nova Posted October 28, 2004 Author Share Posted October 28, 2004 Emperor Andronicus was dragged to the dancefloor by his wife and they spent several hours dancing old Byzantine traditional dances. Then he and his father examined the gift of Empress Orioni. The result of examination was two badly singing but happy monarchs. Link to comment
