The Imperial Government reiterates its warm feelings towards the World of Pirilao, however, and ask that they bear these facts in mind during this period of tension.

Koku Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Hey.... chill out, pal. I understand that you meant to say you are at the "Defensively Ready and Alert" status... Â However, some nations may wrongly interpret it as you are at Defcon 9 (very sensitive/prompt retaliation). Especially, for Ide Jima, it might make them 'alert' for possible conflict on the otherside of their nation...(on going conflict at west side with Haken - Now possible conflict on the east side..). Â How about you step down from "Prompt retaliation" status to just "Fully alert" position. Â And while you are at "Fully alert" status, why don't we arrange a joint military training, Pirilao & Koku. As in the below picture, I think the marked X is suitable for the operation. Four of my out-posted nuclear submarines, two aircraft carriers and several frigates are around that area (intl' water). I shall dispatch 2 of my Fast-Moving-Navy-Brigades (FMNB) to the island in 24 hour time, if you agree to the training. Besides training-experiences to share, we also have a chance to exchange our militaristic communication codes, and most importantly, building friendship between our people. I really look forward to such joint operation, however, it's up to your readiness aswell. So, please let us know as soo as you decide. Best regards, Koku. Â Â

Tamurin Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 ---- Voice of the Republic ----  Field Marshall von Steinburg ordering partial mobilization  As a reaction to continued mobilization in our close neighbour, the world of PIRILAO, acting prime minister and minister of defense Field Marshall von Steinburg ordered a partial mobilization in Tamurin. This is the first time since the Civil War that such an order was given.  Von Steinburg mobilized the Luftwaffe, the Navy, the Naval Air Corps and parts of the Army in the south-west of the country. Since today 1300 hours citizens can hear the sound of roaring engines from the fighters and fighter-bombers.  The Luftwaffe has constantly several AWACS-aircrafts patrolling the skies and several more Hawkeyes are controlling the sea in the south-west. Von Steinburg also ordered the "Airborne Command Center" into the air.  "These measures are just a precaution and there is nothing to worry about. We are in control and ready to defend our nation." von Steinburg assured the citizens in a TV announcement. "I have also contacted the ambassador of Pirilao today. We will talk tomorrow morning. I will ask him what his country intends to do and how long this state of alert will remain. I can assure you that we won't end the partial mobilization until the state of alert in Pirilao has been revoked!"  Rumours say that the elections for president and parliament will be affected by this event. Blitz polls on the street now favour Josef Zwick's wish to join the Alliance.  "The Alliance could protect us effectively against any threat." - "I'm very worried - I fear another war." - "My cousin is on a destroyer. I hope he'll be OK." - "What if the bombers come at night? We don't have that many bomb shelters left - can we really fight off all incoming bombers? And what about the missiles? I'm scared." Like this more or less all comments and thoughts sound in the streets of Alaghon.   What's going on in PIRILAO? AWACS aircrafts of the Luftwaffe are keeping an eye on our neighbour
Deltannia Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 *Deltannian Military Issue*  To all military commanders:  With Pirilao's "Fully Alert" status, as well as the partial mobilization of Tamurin, all ships within this military zoned sector are to remain Yellow Alert. While Pirilao has issued a statement against any attack on Deltannia, protocol requires yellow status. All other military branches are to go to Yellow Alert as well. Due to the nature of this predicament, naval orders have precedence.  -----  FROM: Deltannia TO: Pirilao  Deltannia understands the nature of your statement, and understands your intentions, but still insists that Deltannian airspace and water channels remain cleared for for the duration of the alert.
Pirilao Posted May 17, 2006 Author Posted May 17, 2006 TO : Tamurin FROM: PIRILAO Â It is not intention of our part to invade or to attack. We only are in prevention (defensive) Therefore we can be tranquil.
Rekamgil Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 In light of the numerous mobilizations occuring across the region and, paricularly, in the vicinity of the Dominion of Rekamgil, the Department of Defence has ordered both 1st and 2nd Divisions to alert status. 1st Division is to deploy along Rekamgil's southern border and southeast coast, while 2nd Division is to deploy around major ports, airstrips, and coastal installations. Â Owing to our Friendship Treaty with the Kingdom of Koku we will not deploy forces along our northern border with Koku. This government recognizes that LT nations are currently mobilizing and that it might be prudent to defend our northern border, but in a gesture of friendship and neighbourly kinship, Rekamgil will not militarize its border with Koku. We trust that Koku will likewise honour our agreement and will join with us in avoiding the militarization of our little corner of the region. Â The Admiralty has also recalled one submarine, one frigate, and two destroyers to join the rest of our Navy in patrolling our coasts. Four vessels remain in international waters near Tinian observing the situation as it unfolds. Two regiments remain onboard those ships. Again, all our forces in the area are currently observing and will only act in a peacekeeping role if a ceasefire agreement is reached.
Tagmatium Rules Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 OOC: Â @mods: Could you close this on a temporary basis as both me and Haken are going to be busy with exams for quite a while, we'll start it again in the summer. As this thread is closely linked with the Tinian thread, would a small ruling be in order?
Koku Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 To: KOKU From: PIRILAO We are an open nation , honest and that it respects the Peace, Friendship and the good relation between the peoples. The friendship that joins our peoples is very old and therefore will be a pleasure to make one military training with a so intelligent nation. We go to place ours 5? Independent Mixing Brigade- Coast http://s7.invisionfree.com/Europa/index.ph...wtopic=2201&hl= to yours to make use for this military training . Â Â PIRILAO Pirilao and Koku kick off war game. Â Seven brigades, 5 of Pirilao?s and 2 from Koku kingdom began their 1st time ?Joint exercise? between the two nations. The 9 day military training meant to enhance military readiness and foster cooperation among the forces taking part, said a Koku governmental spokeman. Â Some 2,000 troops from Koku are joining, 5,000 assigned force at Pirilao -- including supporting naval and airforce personels joined this ?first time joint military exercises?, to be held through May 26 at the southern island of Pirilao. The exact locations are (of course ) classified. Â The activities will include computer-simulated staff exercises, field training and humanitarian and civic assistance projects, said the statement. Â This is the 1st joint-combined military exercise. Its purpose is to improve readiness and interoperability among the forces taking part, most importantly, enhance security relationships between the two nation friends, it said.
Tamurin Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 TO: Government of Rekamgil FROM: Field Marshall von Steinburg, acting prime minister of Tamurin RE: Partial mobilization  Dear neighbours in the north,  our partial mobilization is purely defensive and not aimed against you. We noticed that you fortified your southern borders and coastlines, but you'll notice that our troops in the north are not mobilized. I assure you that this will stay that way.  We want good relations to all of our neighbours including Rekamgil and we hope that this latest incident hasn't worsened those relations. I guarantee you that we have no hostile intentions against your country or any other country.  Best wishes, von Steinburg, Chief of Staff and acting prime minister   ----------------   ---- Voice of the Republic ----  Von Steinburg: "There is no threat!"  "I received a message from Pirilao today. It says - I read the translation - 'It is not our intention to invade or to attack anyone.' The whole purpose of the "full alert"-status is to increase national security because of military engagements in another part of Europa. Pirilao is associated with a military alliance that has forces deployed there. So we see - military alliances bring battlefields much closer to home." said a calm and smiling Field Marshall von Steinburg today.  The order of partial mobilization was not revoked. "That way we can see how well our military works with the current organizational structure." The Luftwaffe in the south is permanently airborne with two interceptor squadrons and one strike squadron, AWACS and Command Center aircrafts are permanently in the air covering all air and sea travel in the region. Destroyers, frigates, submarines and naval aircrafts are covering the "Gulf of Tamurin" and the passage to Pirilao.  "This partial mobilization just became a big maneuver. So, to some extend we can relax." Admiral von Clausen said. "Sometimes I wish we had carriers in those times, but then we have two very great islands - unsinkable carriers. For a navy without capital ships we did pretty good these last two days."  On the streets of Alaghon people were relieved. "It's a good thing that the situation is calming down." "Thank god von Steinburg handled this. Guess what some hothead like Zwick might've done." "Greetings to all the peace-loving folks in Pirilao. I'm glad that we had no "situation" in the short time it looked bad."
Rekamgil Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 TO: Field Marshall von Steinburg, acting prime minister of Tamurin FROM: The Dominion of Rekamgil RE: Partial mobilization  Dear colleagues to the south,  Our mobilization was not in response to Tamurin's mabilization in particular; although to be honest your nation's mobilization was one of the events we took into consideration when ordering our own partial mobilization. Having had few relations with your nation in the past, we had to act with prudence.  However, we thank you very much for your kind assurance of your pacific intentions. In return, we offer our assurance that we in no way intend any harm or threat to our southern neighbour Tamurin. Our mobilization was purely defensive in nature and was not directed solely at Tamurin.  We thank you for your concern and hope that our future relations will be cooperative, peaceful, and bright.  Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
