The Coleman Dream

I was thinking about starting a new RP. All political. It's to be the bigest venture that Julia Coleman is to embark on. Julia Coleman is trying to set up new realtions across the world, and hates the current system of three alliances, with many nations joining either one of the three. She belives that it will only result in war, and shes a peace lover. Prefering trade and diplomacy over war and imperialism.

 

So in this RP it's about Julia's atempt to dissolve the alliances, for the betterment of Europa, to avoid a sort of world war. Very much like the fall of the Berlin Wall, and with a sort of Martin Luthor king sprincled in. How about it? Thats if you wish to see a world with out the alliances. or maybe we could work something out?

I know Ide Jima liked to see one ones (e.a. an Europa without alliances). I'm neutral on this subject.

Being not a member of any of the alliances, I could go for this. It could stop anything World War I-ish from happening. I like the idea, I'm in.

 

Also reminds me of the Star Trek episode The City on the Edge of Forever, with Edith Keeler's dream for peace....

Tagmatium would be completely against it, basically as Tagmatium holds grudges for ages.

Yeah, the Akiiryans conquered Tagmatium about 1000 years ago, burning down a couple of villages and killing a few thousand Tagamtine soldiers in the process and they're still pissed at the Akiiryans.

 

Akiiryu, would also be against such a thing...its not going to be held up by some kind of international hugfest.

It could prove to be very interesting to watch and take part in. Rhomanoi could prove resistive, as we are getting more and more involved, but each state will have a unique reaction. Have it proposed in RP first, and see what happens, I would say.

@Aki: Actually, sir, that was a reference to Vanarambaion's threatened nuking of Tagmatium and Ide Jima's swapping sides to the Alliance.

 

Plus, it was more like 700 years ago.

 

And one must beg the question, why aren't the Akiiryans still there?

 

Because the Tagmatines kicked them out.

Tamurin's point of view depends on the outcome of the elections, but it's sure to say that if Josef Zwick wins he will be strongly against that...

I am member of an alliance (LT). But I see with good eyes a EUROPA

without alliances. I approve this idea.

I was thinking of incorporateing a sort of assasination attempt in too. Where julia either dies or suvies I havent desided yet. it would be wether or not more people approve of the idea or not.

Although OOC i?d love to see the bosta hitting the ventilador, it?s against Emakera?s interests to see an war on Europa, so we?d aprove Julia?s idea. Specially because we?re a non-alligned nation, but allied with Pirilao, who?s a LT member...

I'm for trade alliances, but not military, unless it is to defend against enemies of Europa. Then I guess it would be more like a NATO/EU type thing.

I've had an idea for this. It's sort of based on the G8 summit. Where leaders from around the world meet to disscusss how they can get along better. But hippies in the world start ranting on and start big concerts and stuff. Although the confrece will be a big failure probably.
