Tamurin Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 How I planned this RP to go down: Â It's about the elections of president and parliament in Tamurin. It's an election battle - words, gestures, opinions - they all matter and can decide who wins and who loses. Â I haven't decided which party/coalition or which president will be elected. It depends on how this RP goes on. So, your comments will matter! Â I've made a short profile of every party and every candidate and they differ greatly. This election will decide which path Tamurin will take in the future, so this may well affect your nation. Â Input from you to this RP is wished and greatly appreciated!
Tagmatium Rules Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 What ever happened to not allowing foreign nations to influence the parties in elections? Â It's illegal in most RL "western" democracies...
Haken Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 What's the difference between the oriental and continental nations?
Tagmatium Rules Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 What's the difference between the oriental and continental nations? One's more for an eastern-Europan union, the other's for an Alliance-union, which is a bit of a two-fingers to the two, larger alliances.
Tamurin Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 What ever happened to not allowing foreign nations to influence the parties in elections? It's illegal in most RL "western" democracies...  Since when does the press care about something like that?  Also, if you want a certain candidate to win, you could invite him, give him something to "play" with (concessions, trade pacts, lower tariffs whatever...)...there are ways. Plus: Not all nations in our Europa are democracies.
Akiiryu Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 What ever happened to not allowing foreign nations to influence the parties in elections? It's illegal in most RL "western" democracies...  Since when does the press care about something like that?  Also, if you want a certain candidate to win, you could invite him, give him something to "play" with (concessions, trade pacts, lower tariffs whatever...)...there are ways. Plus: Not all nations in our Europa are democracies. I think Zwick's quite aware of the advantages of support from two of Europa's military and economic superpowers (and the Emperor of Rhomoni). The invitation to Akiiryu will allow him to discuss many things with the Prince and the baronic Council.

Tagmatium Rules Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 @Hak: I was talking about Zwick in that case, as he's more pro-Alliance, which is a snub towards the CIS and LT. Â @Tam: True. I'll have to consider what to do... Â And Tagmatium may have to "apply" a bit of pressure to those smaller nations that support Zwick...
Akiiryu Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 And Tagmatium may have to "apply" a bit of pressure to those smaller nations that support Zwick... Pressure? Ha.
Akiiryu Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 This is an OOC section, you know... Yes, that was an OOC comment.
Tagmatium Rules Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Well, it sounds like some-one is increasingly seeing things from Akiiryan eyes...
Tagmatium Rules Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 *Tagmatium Rules won't stoop to Aki's level.  @Tamurin: Is giving finiancial aid to any of the parties allowed, or is that illegal under Tamurinian laws?
Haken Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 "Selective, selective! By the Beast's frozen maw! Two of their damned closest allies are far from democratic! Why by all in Hella don't they go and lecture those governments for awhile? Stupid childskins!" Hey, Haken Rider isn't either really democratic, more reason for Tamurin to honour his old traditions.
Tagmatium Rules Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Zwick could have a scandal on his hands if it becomes widely known that the Ide Jimans are sponsoring his election... Â Heh, heh, heh...
Tamurin Posted May 18, 2006 Author Posted May 18, 2006 We'll see how this will go down... Â Very interesting things happening here...
