Akiiryu
OOC: How does all this arming the rebels go with the CIS's peaceful policies...some nations might use these events against the CIS in the future. I'd also like to know how you're getting the weapons in undetected. Again, I am not trying to be a bastard, rather I am asking serious questions. Link to comment
Italgria
OOC: Well have you seen the movie Lord of War? Exactly thats how they do it But I also wonder that the CIS actually helps rebels instead of trying to reinforce peace. Link to comment
Rekamgil
OOC: Well firstly, like many nations, we aren't necessarily completely consistent in our actions when a matter of vital national interest is at stake (however, I think we are in this case). We consider the restoration of the US govt as a vital national interest. Secondly, the CIS promotes peace, but is not an unarmed, pacifist organization... we will go to war when war is necessary. If you read the charter you will notice that if the CIS is attacked, we are automatically at war. My govt considers this fascist take-over as an attack on the US govt, and we are determined to resist it. Thirdly, the CIS promotes freedom and democracy; in our view, fascism is not conducive to those principles (although I did voice a willingness to have an international team over-see a US referendum on whether or not they want to keep the current "government"). I am not willing to recognize the fascist govt unless it is ratified in a free vote. That govt has not shown any willingness to hold such a vote, so we consider their actions as unlawful and as an attack on the govt of my ally... I am bound to respond. Fourthly, the CIS is headed by 3 nations (Reka, US, and Vocenae), it is in CIS interests to restore the US govt. I could probably go on, but this should be enough. As for getting arms in undetected, that's a good question. Since the US is RPing both the fascists and the rebels, I'll have to defer to him on that. Although I'm assuming that since he doesn't want an international incident, he'll probably not make a big deal over it. However, of course, I am willing to account for my actions; if I am discovered doing something that the current US "government" disapproves of, they can take any action they see fit and I'll deal with it from there. Does that answer your questions, A-hole? Just kidding Edited March 22, 2006 by Rekamgil (see edit history) Link to comment

Many things are done with good intentions, but are rude none the less. For some reasons either myself or the CIS is always the target of something. Is there something you want to tell me that is bothering you, or do you simply have nothing else to do The weapons get in, because of a certain high ranking official who is in league with the Rebels, like that detective in the movie, who lets evy hammond send off the train towards the end of the Movie. Adaptus
OOC: But what were to happen if a government, which recognizes the current facist government stumbles upon a ship carrying weapons to US, destained for the rebels. Another thing, a gegraphical thing, i know that we have a new map for descusion, but if we go off the current map, the US could not resive an sort of naval assistance unless headed up a small river, as the US is landlocked. Rekamgil
OOC: Oh, I didn't even know we were on the old map... I was told we would not be on it until the new map. My mistake I guess. As posted previously, I am willing to deal with any adverse events that result in my being discovered by any "US allies" (along the lines you suggest). As mentioned, it's a matter of vital national interest for us so we are willing to take the risk. This is an exceptional situation. We will probably debate the repercussions in the CIS after it's all over... unless something untoward happens in the meantime. Link to comment

When I ask questions they are genuine attempts to get clarifications on how things are working/the reasoning behind an event/action. They are not attacks. Let's end this silliness here. Italgria
Last OOC from my side... OOC: ..If you read the charter you will notice that if the CIS is attacked, we are automatically at war. OOC: Isnt US temporarly not a member of the CIS anymore or have I read over something? Edited March 22, 2006 by Italgria (see edit history) Link to comment
Rekamgil
OOC: you are correct. While under the fascist regime, they officially are not. But my govt considers the current US govt to be illegitemate. The legitemate govt is waging an open civil war against the fascists. The rebel faction (which I consider to be the proper US govt) is still a member of the CIS nominally (they have an indeterminate status right now) and I am interested in seeing the restoration of the previous govt. Once effected, it is hoped, the US will be back in the CIS as normal. But since the fascists attacked and toppled the US govt recognized by my nation, I consider this an attack on the government of my ally (as opposed to an attack on the country itself). Does that clear it up? i agree with Ide Jima on splitting this off... Edited March 22, 2006 by Rekamgil (see edit history) Link to comment
Italgria
OOC: Yup, that clears it up.. Now that this is cleared a Mod should delete or split this OCC's and bring this back to a serious RP Thread Link to comment
