Pirilao Posted December 28, 2005 Share Posted December 28, 2005 The Rally Lisbon-Dakar, will depart from the Portuguese capital on the 31st of December. Including the participation of 27 Portuguese teams and a record number of 240 motorbikes, 188 cars, 80 trucks and 240 assistance vehicles, the departure will take place at the Pra?a do Imp?rio square of Lisbon. The cross-country rally will then head for the south of Portugal, where two special competitions will be held, for the first time in European territory. After crossing Portugal, Spain and Morocco, the rally will travel through another four countries (Mauritania, Mali, Guinea-Conakry and Senegal), before ending on January 15 at Dakar, having completed a 9,043 km (about 5,606 miles) trek. The name of the event has always in account the departure place and finishes always in Dakar. In English O nome do evento t?m sempre em conta o local de partida e termina sempre em Dakar.
