Koku Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Cars ; Â In many cities, people just can't live without it!... Â Among the invented machines, it has caused the highest death to man... Â Now, we have to spare more money from our food, to buy theirs (gas/oil)... Â Expensive cars save lives of owners?!? Probably, and probably not... Â Some people buy cars because of their designs, some because of their performance, some just because it's economy... What's your type? What's your brand? What's your comment on this?

Pirilao Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Currently and because of the jobs I have 2 cars one mine another one of my wife. My OPEL ASTRA 1,7 CDTI ECOTEC(100cv) My wife NISSAN ALMERA 1,4 STELL 16V (90cv) I do not have great preferences in the cars. I find that currently they are all good ones. It only depends on the money that we have to spend.
Soigacas Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Mine has two wheels, a saddle, and no environmental consequences whatsoever
Nevareion Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Renault, Clio, cos I have one and it's the best car I've ever owned.
Ide Jima Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 I'm with Soig - cycling is the way to do these things - except with me it has nothing to do with politics. My family drive the most recent Ford Mondeo - I don't know techspeak for it though.
Tagmatium Rules Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 If I can't get there via my pieds, I ain't going.
Nevareion Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 I have no choice. My job requires me to own a car.
Mongol-Swedes Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 EY! How are you gonna leave out the grandaddy of em all? That's right, the Cadillacs. 'specially mine, a classic bronze '83 Coupe Deville.
Tamurin Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Nissan Primera (P11). Â Why? Â - Carried me for more than 100.000 km safely on the streets and is still doing that - Never failed to work, even after standing in front of the barracks in Kusel for 5 days while it was constantly snowing at temperatures between minus 5 and minus 20 degrees Celsius. It started without a problem while VW Jettas and Golfs were only coughing... - Is 7 years old now and never had a major damage. All repairs were just routine and below 1000 Euros (compared to the Opel of my brother which costs 1000-2000 Euros every year because of damages, this is VERY cheap...) - Looks good Â
Sonajal Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 HUMMER! Â Nah, seriously, I like german cars, and especially VW. They're freggin' ugly, but they are safe and trustworthy, me thinks.
Paranoid schizo Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 I commute into London so I use a motorbike, although as we're expecting one of the coldest winters for a long time in England, I've just bought an old Saab 900i to get me through any snow that might dare show it's face!!!
Northern Voobaha Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 (edited) I'm in major agreement with Schizo... give me a Saab for winter snow driving anyday!  I use to have a Saab 900 in not-so-snowy California, but it finally died after years and over 100,000 miles of trusty service.  Now my wife and I are in Northern Wisconsin, where it's snowed a foot since the start of the month. We're missing the Saab terribly. She has a 1998 Ford (Fix Or Repair Daily) Taurus, I drive a 2005 Ponitac Grand Am for the 12 mile commute each way to work.  Where's the Saab dealer when we need one? lol  (edited for typos) Edited December 7, 2005 by Northern Voobaha (see edit history)
Pirilao Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 The top 10 follow:  Large Cars Gold: Ford Five Hundred/Mercury Montego (Twin vehicles) Silver: Audi A6  Midsized cars Gold: Saab 9-3 Gold: Subaru Legacy Silver: Audi A3 Silver: Audi A4 Silver: Chevrolet Malibu with optional side airbags Silver: Volkswagen Jetta Silver: Volkswagen Passat  All these cars are very expensive in Portugal.
Sonajal Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Where's the Saab dealer when we need one? lol They still haven't left Sweden, but they're on their way! *Dramatic music*

Tamurin Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Looks really cool... Â But now, c'mon, big O. What do you really drive?
Orioni Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Looks really cool... But now, c'mon, big O. What do you really drive? Oh.. uhm.. well..    My brother is getting a new car so his old one will be mine soon. It's a metallic Citro?n Saxo. You can look for it on the A76/E314 when I'm driving to Aachen this saturday.
Europa Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Would be funny if they'ld call the elephant Volvo or something... Â I'm going to the bank,.. I'm taking the Volvo
Koku Posted December 12, 2005 Author Posted December 12, 2005 (edited) My most preferred brands; BMW and Toyota. Now, using 318i  You often see this V brand in Bangkok... How efficient!?!?!? Edited December 12, 2005 by Koku (see edit history)
