HOSPIRILAO is an enterprise in the private sector sphere whose main objective is the exercise of hospital clinical activities.

MEDICAL STAFF By choosing HOSPIRILAO for your regular check-up you can count on the best welcome. Our staff includes specialist physicians and experient technicians. The medical staff includes specialist consultants in gynaecology, radiology, gastroenterology, urology, etc.. At your disposal you have the most sophisticated diagnostic equipment.

 

YOUR MEDICAL EXAM After making an appointment fot a check-up, you will be asked to fill a detailed medical questionnaire which must be handed in the day of the check-up. When you arrive at HOSPIRILAO an assistant will be allocated to you. She will be in touch through all the tests and she will be happy to answer any questions about yhe check-up. As the blood tests will have to be done in fasting, we suggest, for your own comfort the use of our PIRIHOTEL on the night before for dinner and/or sleeping. All meals can be served in our Restaurants. You will have at your disposal a room from PIRIHOTEL with a private bathroom. Between the tests you may relax on your bedroom, where you have a colour TV with a great variety of nacional and international channels. You can also use the telephone, telex and telefax, as well as room service. You can also obtain any type of information of touristic nature.

 

DURATION A check-up can be completed in 3 to 6 hours, depending on its type, wwhich represents a minimum of time to invest on your own health. The exams include the whole range of preventive medicine paying special attention to the main illness: cardiovascular problems and cancer, which can be diagnosed in an early and assymptomatic phase. Whenever needed clients may be sent to other especialists in HOSPIRILAO either for complementary exams or for a second opinion.

 

REPORT Before leaving HOSPIRILAO a provisional diagnosis will be handed out. Within 8 days you will receive a detailed report accompanied by tests results. The report is easily read and it is confidential. If you wish, a copy may be posted to your general practitioner.
