Adaptus Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 (edited) i've started a counter-coup where as Ramsey regains power in Adaptus, but i'm going with the No-War-November idea, and desided to keep it all political, and i was woundering, does anyone have any ideas, or would anyone like to help take part in this? The Chosen Nations Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 I think that Ramsey could return, via a vote of senior Fatherist Officials (after a number of them are killed by Ivon Avesky). Ramsey would promise the Fathersit Officials lighter criminal sentences (or no criminal sentences) in return for The Fatherist Party handing power back to Ramsey.
Tamurin Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 How about Ramsey using the public support of the people and underground media? Sometime we forget that it's the people who are the strongest force in a nation (hell, the people are the nation) and not the military or some big-boss-people... This could be a small-scale revolution (with demonstrations, some violent crashes with the police or so and it ends with the military saying "No, we won't interfere", which forces the current people in power to resign), like it happened in the Ukraine.
Adaptus Posted November 2, 2005 Author Posted November 2, 2005 i like that idea Tam, but instead of having the Fatherists resign, we could have them forced out of the power, by rebelious protestors, where say they storm the Adaptorium, and seriously wound Ivon and a few of his closets followers. but the only problem is that, the Fatherists have there own sort of political army, a bit like the SA for the nazis in the early days before they came to power, or a bit like the gestapo. but larger, and armed like a small army. but yeah i like that idea. i carnt realy have Ramsey voted back in as the Fatherists have a bounty on him, and they have outlawed political parties. bu i also like the cold war style idea too. maybe if the Fatherists anounced and started outragus prodjects, and the LT and other orgonizations put alot of pressure on the Fatherists and then that reasulted in the mass protests and the storming of the Adaptorium, instead of a wall coming down in the USSR's case.
Byzantium Nova Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 (edited) Actually overall the USSR fall and what happened in moscow (those people who tried to usurp the power) is a rather good starting point in this. Just replace Jeltsin for Ramsey. Also if you want any foreign powers meddle in this Byzantines can secretly aid Ramsey. Edited November 2, 2005 by Byzantium Nova (see edit history)
Haken Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Or like Napoleon! He came back from his island with a small army and marched to Paris. At first the headlines where something as "The monster has landed, he will never reach Paris" and in the end it was something like "The emperor has entered in Paris, long live the emperor'!
The Chosen Nations Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 How fickle people are, and how easily manipulated
Adaptus Posted November 7, 2005 Author Posted November 7, 2005 ok now would you think an assonation and a few police shooting some rioters a breach of the No-War-November agreement? i'm thinkin of having is this turn into a situation alot like the current situation in France but with a Franz Ferdinand style assanation at the end, would you say that seems good?

Vanarambaion Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Since Ramsey is under the protection of Vanarambaion at the moment, he could stage a surprise landing on the Adaptan mainland with Vanarambaion troops (not in uniform, obviously). Then when a military showdown seems inevitable, the people tire of the Fartherist regime's oppressive policies and lead a coup. Ramsey enters the city a popular hero, the Vanarambaion troops are recalled to Thule, and a bridge between the two alliances is started. What do you think? Two birds, one stone?
