IC:

"Shall we begin your majesty of the honorable nation of Akiiryu?" questioned the Prime Minister as he took out a cigar of the El Supremo Brand but then puts it away due to possiable problems. "There is much to be discussed and time is short," finished the Prime Minister.

OOC: Ah, B, Akiiryans don't smoke (cultural thing, not a RL moralistic choice on my part) and you certianly wouldn't smoke in front of an Akiiryan Prince without being invited to. I would watch you're tone as well, remember what happened to TCN! This meeting may be very short.

IC:

The Prince, shadowed by the barons T'Ka, T'Rothric and T'Nith, examined Janiank with hard, but open eyes.

"Do go on Prime Minister, do go on."

"Your majesty, as you may know already, my nation is under attack from insurgents from the inside, I think they got it all on BNN, if BNN survived the TCN attack...anyways, I need you help, I need you if you can to help me regain my nation from the insurgents, otherwise, the nation will be controlled by these crazy imperials."

"I also want to establish better realtions with our two nations, although we are part of two very different military and economic alliances, I think it would be in both our intrest to have friendly realtons so we not seperated only because of these large and complex military alliances.

"My last reason for this meeting is also to hear what you have to say," finished Janiank as he awaited the Prince's reply.

OOC: I am ignoring the TCN attack. As afr As I am concerned TCN's last little acts of violence never happened. Sorry if this annoys you, but that is just the way it is.

IC:

The Prince looked at the prime minister.

"Prime minister Janiank, whilst I understand your need I am afraid Akiiryu will be unable to provide you any form of military assistance at this time. Our forces are otherwise occupied. I am, however, interested in providing your government support through developing trade relations. As to military and economic alliances, well they do not preclude us developing relations of mutual benefit and understanding, unless, of course, I have misread the nature of the League of the Treaty. So let us discuss what kind of trade relationship you would like to development with my country."

Janiank stared back at the Prince as he began speaking again. "As you may well know, Bhalman is oil nation, everything revoloves around the wells and whoever controls them are usually the richest person in the nation, I am offering you two things from this, a cut in the wells and possiable oil line from Bhalman all the way north to Akiiryu. You are free to make branches off of this pipeline as long as I'm consult when doing so, then that nation would have to seek Bhalman in terms of oil. Bhalman has also found small veins of uranium, which we have no use for at this time and we would rather give it to an honorable nation than a warmongering one. However, we always have crop failures and usually import foodstuffs from foreign nations and usually that is barely enough for all our people, so we need a larger importation of grains."

"To improve our relations, you may open an Akiiryuian Consulate in Port Nain, safer after the Civil War ends and when it does, we shall do the same in your capital of Nicari. If relations improve dramatically, we can expand on this base and expand to dual citizenship and other advanced forms of dipolmacy," Janiank finished.

The Prince smiled and turned to his advisors. They held a short, whispered disucssion in Akiiryan before one left the room and the prince turned back to face the Bhali prime minister.

"Your offers are interesting Prime Minister Janiank, but I regret to inform you that Akiiryu has its own oil fields in the north of the country, we also mine uranium in the south around Kaimona. That said, Akiiryu would be willing to sell you wheat, barley and oats at competitive prices, we can also offer you meat and fish as well. The consulate is an excellent idea, once hostilities end in Bhalman of course. As to your other proposals, well, let us see, let us see."

It had been a full 2 months since Khan's ascention to the throne and presently, he was on a express train from Port Nain to Serekan, the capital of Ide Jima and from their would catch a train that would take him from there to Nimarci, the esteemed capital of Akiiryu. Khan was sitting in his private suite in a more-upscale section of the coach. He was looking over his notes for the upcoming talks and the several internal issues that needed his attention upon his return from his journey.

The train ride from Serekan to Nimarci was a plesant one and the train was just pulling into the capital now. As the train pulled into the station, hundreds of people lined along the platform, looking for a mere glimpse of Khan, but he knew better. Khan and his personal Imperial Guard got off the train and walked towards the exit. His Guardsmen kept the people back as he walked on. He exited the station and looked at the time and waited for the Prince's men to collect him.

T'Rothric watched the self-styled "Emperor" Khan and smiled inwardly. Khan and his imperial guardsmen didn't know how lucky they were. If it was not for the presence of the Prince, a number of Barons and the Prince's bodyguard the petty shoving that Khan's men were inflicting on the Akiiryans in the train station - when an corridor of honour be decked with Bhali flags had already been laid out for Khan - would have probably got them in serious trouble and may have even started an international incident. Was Khan so insecure in his position that he need to try an impress people with the threat of military violence wherever he went? Surely he was not foolish enough to think the people of Akiiryu - a country that not only had a proud military history, but also two provinces with populations bigger than Bhalman - would find his puerile blustering impressive? At least Prime Minister Janiank had some decorum. T'Rothric's thoughts briefly focussed on the ex-Bhali Prime minister now living in exile in Akiiryu and wondered if he might be of use for anything in the future. He also wondered if Khan would demand that he be handed over to him. T'Rothric's musings were cut short by the arrival of Khan at the end of the corridor of honour. He suppressed a chuckle as he watched Khan survey the crowd and realised that Khan probably thought that the throng of Akiiryans in and around the central station were there to see him. Truth was the only person they were interested in seeing was their Prince. As T'Rothric gained control of his internal mirth both T'Ka and the Prince, sensing his struggle, gave him knowing sidelong glances before turning back - serious faces set in stone - to wait for Khan to approach.

As Khan walk up the corridor of honour his guards suddenly realised there was nowhere for them to go - unless they walked in front of the Emperor into the presence of the Akiiryan Prince and his barons - an unforgivable insult that would doom any talks before they even began.

The Imperial Guardsmen halt and make a formation, behind Khan as Khan moved ahead to the Prince. "Ah, the great and glorious ruler of Akiiryu! It is a pleasure to meet you in person! Shall we procced? My guardsmen will remain here and will return to the Imperium to guard the Chancellor. Khan then orders the head guardsmen with the command, "Uantk Gan Imperia" and the guardsmen reboard the train. Both the Prince and Khan head towards the palace.

The Prince and the barons nod in respectful greeting to Khan. The Prince speaks:

"Welcome to Akiiryu Emperor Khan, I hope your visit will be fruitful for both our nations. If you would care to accompany me back to the palace I have some refreshments waiting as you must be tired after such a long trip."

The Prince and Khan head towards waiting limos with the barons following close behind.

Both the Prince and the Emperor rode through the streets of Nimarci and Khan was bewildered by the sights and sounds of the city. "Simply amazing," and Khan replied that phase all the way to the Palace. Once they arrived, Khan and the Prince entered a conference room and Khan prepared to state his reason for his vist.

"Your excellency of Akiiryu, I have come today to elevate relations between our nations, epecially since I authorized the withdrawal from the League of the Treaty. I want to offer you a non-agressive pact between our nation and yours as well as building up trading relations. In terms of military, it depends on the circumstances of course."

Khan waited for the Prince's reponse.

P'Neonaric lent back, for all Kahn's somewhat forced pomp and circumstance the Prince was beginning to like the newly minted Emperor of Bhalman. He was a straight talker for one, and, even better, he put his country first - to the extent he was willing to stand up to other countries who seemed to believe they had the right to dictate a rules and regulations. P'Neonaric could deal with such a man as this quite happily.

"Brother, trade between our two countries is of interest to me. Unfortunately, however, Akiiryu has large oil reserves of its own and a number of other power sources in use or under research, so we have little need of your main export product. That said perhaps we could discuss the possibility of setting up an committee of oil producing nations to better country the follow of our product? What other trade initiatives do you have in mine. I will accept your offer of a drafting a non-aggression pact between our to nations.

OOC: B we need to working on the wording of the pact. PM me. I will note in the SPA fact sheet this is being disucssed.
