It is, in my opinion, starting to get silly. Â On a side note, please don't take this the wrong way guys, but can we all agree to work on our post presentations. I know every one (myself included) makes mistakes at times, but please, please, please read over your posts before submitting them. If you not sure about spelling try writing them in word first.

Adaptus Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 i know i have had alot of new stuff on the go reasently, but it all gets scrapped at a later date, i only have one prodject that stays and thats the railgun prodject, but i'm not keeping it all to myself as there is alot of money to be made by selling these i think, so i'm opening railguns for sale once they are fully developed, so it equals things out a bit.

If we're all going to just sit here and come up with a million ways to kille ach other without limits whatsoever, then what's the point. It makes for a better game for everyone to play with the honor system, and without godmodding. Â Please do some research if you are coming up with new techonology. Obviously, perhaps your country already has something, but not everything. That's just impractical, and not in the spirit of fair play.

I have one more researched weapon and it is just an extension of old technology already used before in RP. Besides I always try to keep things from going overboard by negotiating such techs with mods. Â I added these techs just for flavor as my N2-bombs are just variant from nukes. The other tech is just an answer to all these Big Guns people are developing and I?m not going to make them too powerful. What would be the point in RPing then? Â And what comes to my language I try to keep an eye for it. Nicer to read that way. Â

After all, other nations possess nukes, which area a damned lot more powerful than most of these new weapons. Â But, yeah, PM one of the RP mods or one of the more experienced players to get advice on what is or isn't allowable before you embark on a programme, and you can't go wrong.

Jesus, if it maks things better i am willing to say Akiiryu doesn't have GMs IF it means we can go back to normal tech levels. frankly i have watched our rps decline lately and it saddens me a lot. Because each one follows on from another and you just can't win all the time or the other side/players will get bored. Sometimes RPing a loss can be rewarding if it is well done and adds to the history of your nation. Character and detail make an RP more interesting for outsiders to read and give you something to put your creativity into even if your side is the loosing one. Thats how I feel anyway.

Just wanted to explain why I thought I could bring some new toys in play. And I wanted to note about talking to mods before doing anything drastic. After all that?s what they are there for. Â Anyway this "must win in RP:s" -attitude is very foolish. As Nev here said its the details not the outcome that should matter. I am quite active pen-and-paper roleplayer and I can say straight here and now that any sort of munchkin-playing will kill the mood almost immediately. In fact my best gaming experiences are from games where I try to plot against other players to foil their schemes. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes fail but the plotting and executing is the fun outcome just some extra spice. Edited October 23, 2005 by Byzantium Nova (see edit history)

We must sit down and talk about our rps, not just try and build super weapons so we can be undefeatable super powers. I am starting to be fatigued by our rps, and that is not a good sign at all.

That, and also you said you have an interest in it. Besides, I hardly think of railguns being of mass destruction, much less than the N2 bombs or nukes. Â But, the side forum is a good idea. Or maybe just post threads here anyway, before something like this. It seems that a lot of research threads have opened up recently, and we shouldn't get carried away. Although, I can see it understandable that a nation research one or two things, but be lacking in others.
