Nevareion
[OOC]This is a method of me introducing my puppet nation here, Nevareion Nova, as an RP nation in Europa. It is related to this RP in Q102 where my nation is currently tearing itself apart. My nation wiki page is here for background on who these people are and the nation they are trying to recreate in exile. [iC] A special report from QN24 on the Nevareies citizens who have managed to escape the traumatic events in their homeland. Large numbers of Nevareies citizens who are not trapped in Nevareion, either in colonies or abroad are fleeing the region of Q102, where goverments are still prepared to repatriate them to their strife torn home. Many of these refugees are wealthy business people and scions of the Great Houses who have smuggled their wealth out of the country. None of them wish to return to a nation dominated by the military or the Orthodox fundamentalists. They have collected in a large flotilla, consisting of boats, yachts and ships of all sizes or are waiting in refugee camps around the world in the hope of finding a new home. Members of the Great Houses of Nevarn, Haldan and Mebredarn have reportedly been canvassing the governments of the region of Europa in the hope of finding a new land in which to re-establish themselves. It is not known how the delegation has been received or what it's itinery might be. One thing is certain, these Nevareies do not intend to wait for an outcome in the increasingly bloody war in their homeland. Link to comment
Vanarambaion
Excerpt from the Vanarambaion Evening News Team ...In a rare show of hospitality, the Vanarambaion government has thrown it's borders open to a group of fleeing refugees from Nevareion. It is unknown the number of refugees or their goals or purpose in Vanarambaion, but it is known that the government has set up extensive accomodations for them. More on this situation when more is known. Back to you, Mick... Link to comment
Tagmatium Rules
---Statement--- The Greater Holy Empire of Tagmatium, watching the deteriorating events within Nevareion with deepening shock, have opened their borders to holders of Nevareian passports. Any of these which arrive at border checkpoints will be found temporairy accommodation at the cost the the Government, until more permanent housing is found. H.I.N vessels will be dispatched to escort or pick up any flotillas near either Tagmatine waters or ships. The occupants will either be then taken to the GHET, or a place of their choosing. Any Nevareion citizens currently with in Tagmatium have been offered as much support as possible, whilst the Government has answered calls from the general public and placed Mr Demetrias Rogers under proxy arrest, pending his return to Europa. Broadcasts from both the TBC and QN24 are best to keep up with happenings in far away Q102. Link to comment
Nevareion
On board a large luxury yacht, somewhere in international waters, a group of the most powerful, wealthy and influential of the refugees had come together. Most were, in one way or another, linked to one of the Great Houses "So it is agreed then?" this was Lady Havira of House Mebredarn. People around the table murmed and nodded. Lord Vexamos Haldan got to his feet, "Absolutely. We shall petition the nations of Europa for an area to settle. After the prompt and sympathetic response we have had from the nations of Tagmatium and Vanarambaion we should be hopeful of a favourable response." "Do we know to whom we should make our request?" asked one of those prersent, "No, we are not sure who if, any, represent their region," Vexamos replied, "We may need to seek the backing of enough powerful players and then lay claim to a new land. In any event I think it is time to make an official visit to the countries that have responded and press our case" Link to comment

Nevareion
[OOC]My nation is a mediterranean/Greek culture whose government is a modern version of a medieval guild government. Kind of like Venice was, a semi democracy dominated by merchant houses. Hope that makes sense Link to comment

Nevareion
Lady Havira and Lord Vexamos were taking a promenade on the deck of the luxury yacht. Through their outspokeness they had both manoevered themselves to the forefront of the Grand Council-in-Exile as the group was styling itself. Both were from Houses that had been minor players back home. Both saw a chance to change that but first they needed to come to an accomodation. However, more pressing matters were on their minds and filling their conversation as they walked. Vexamos was covering their options: "So far we have received two offers of conferences, one includes a proposal for settlement." "Interesting my Lord, are there advantages to this?" "It apparently already has some basic infrastructure...although there is no telling from what motive this land is offered my Lady." "We would be foolish to turn down an offer like that right now....our numbers are growing daily and if we do not provide the people with a solution soon they will begin to disperse and settle. Our chances of founding our country in exile and of one day returning home grow smaller by the day." "You are right Lady. I believe we should encourage the Council-in Exile to push for the Ide Jiman proposal on our behalf. The sooner we can begin rebuilding the better." Phil VII
After Philia's recent expansion into the exposed ex-SSSS island into Air Strip One, we are currently seeking good people (of course those with enough money always get enough good points ) to settle this new area of Philia, of course, people such as yourself, with your wealth and obvious importence will be allowed to settle in Air Strip One as you like, with the obvious philian militery presence there i doubt if there will be much of a dispute with your home government as to where you are, there is little you could not do in a new area such as this with your money. We welcome you with open arms. Link to comment

Nevareion
Lady Havira was attending to paperwork in her office aboard ship when the servant brought the last communications to her. She glanced over them, pleased to see that offers of temporary asylum were flooding in from around Europa. There was still no word from their prefered venue for a summit but another offer of land, this time it seemed to be an offer of a protectorate. Well not ideal but if the Ide Jiman offer fell though...she took a quick decision and placed the proposal from Philia in a drawer and locked it. It would be a good card to play later should things not go as hoped for, she needed to make sure that Vexamos didn't out manoever her to the position of Lord Minister of the Council-in-Exile and this might just be an ace if she needed it. Nevareion
The Council-in-Exile was once more in session. They had chosen one of the passenger liners as a venue this time as they wished this to be a public meeting. Representatives had been brought in by ornithopter from all the refugee camps scattered around Europa and the flotilla had been assembled into a single group in international waters. There was an air of excitment and anticipation in the large ballroom where the meeting was taking place. Reporters from the fledgling and semi-amateur media groups that had sprung up were present as were invited members of some of the region's press. When informed of the offer of land and the support it was starting to gather from other nations a great cheer went up. A quick straw poll organised by the Council was taken and as a result the following statement issued to the media at the end of the meeting: The Free Nevareies wish to thank the nation of Ide Jima for their concern and their proactive aid in pushing for a swift resolution to our plight. We also thank those nations that have already pledged their support for this project. We look forward to sending a negotiating team to your nation and to the summit, in the certain anticipation of a successful meeting. Link to comment
Ide Jima
-Statement- To: All nations of Europa + Nevareies People From: Ide Jima Talks will begin in the SAC Conference Centre opposite the MOD in two days time. Nevareion
The VTOL ornithopters to carry the Nevareies party to Ide Jima sat ready on the temporary landing pad, built over the swimming pool of the liner. Several members of the Council-in-Exile were to attend along with an honour guard from the neawly formed Free Corps. Word had gone round the camps for men and women of military experience to volunteer for a security force. The response had been good, partly as the call was on a no questions asked basis. The best had been seconded to provide security for the fledgling government. Vexamos looked at the group of ten awaiting his inspection before boarding. They were a mixed bunch to say the least and the hurriedly cobbled together uniforms did have a homemade appearance. Still, he thought, at least they would be able to make a nod in the direction of a state visit. Much was riding on this and he was determined that they make the best impression possible on the hosts and visiting statesmen. The Nevareies were a proud people and it stung to have to go cap in hand to these foreignors, grateful as he was for their aid and asylum. Link to comment
Ide Jima
The Ornithopter came down to land in The Radomir international airport in Serekan. On the Tarmac the Ide Jiman President was waiting to greet the Nevareies Delegation. Security was evident, all around the airport Alvis Saracen APCs patrolled, and 3 of the other 4 runways were shut for the day. Snipers could be seen on the rooftops, ready to pick off anyone who tried to approach the visitors unauthorised. With the President, was a group of Stormtroopers who sported an impressive array of weaponry, in case of any more carefully thought through terrorist strikes. The President greeted the committee, and walked with them to the motorcade, waiting outside the main building of the airport. The 5 SAC armoured limousines carrying the Nevareies and their security followed expressway number 10, and exited off junction 13 on the south bank of the river Drazny. From the windows of the cars, Westland Lynx helicopters could be seen adding extra firepower support if need be. Two massive buildings loomed up out of the smog on the southern bank of the river. First was the SAC headquarters, Ide Jima's tallest building where the talks were happening. Behind that was the even larger (but not taller) MOD building, the motorcade followed a road into the building which went through the underground car park into the depths of the massive building. The conference room was large, and the Nevareies were escorted there, whilst other delegations started to arrive by similar means. Link to comment
Haken
The HR delegation was impressed by the organisation of Ide Jima, it could even compensate the lack of Riderian "folks dancing" (two heavy women and a midget in a dress jumping up and down, holding hands), with wich every visiting delegation in HR is welcomed with. None the less, they always kept their task in their head: making sure the Nevareies People wouldn't become a Ide Jiman colony. Link to comment
