Niederoestereich Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 To: Nations of Europa From: Niederoestereich 50kms due north off the Niederoestereichian coast, an abandoned oilrig platform has been transformed into a military research laboratory. Weapons testing will be commencing on an artificial island and reef within the next week, with the rig platform as the center of operations. Weapons will be ranging from IRBMs with various warheads, to naval shelling, torpedo drills and air-force drills. We advise other nations to avoid these areas, and issue warning to commercial and merchant vessels leaving their waters to plot another route which was not bring them near these areas. We are also enforcing a no-fly zone 20km radius near the new research platform.

Mongol-Swedes Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 (edited) To: The Stressed State of Niederoestereich From: The Tribal Tribunal, The Union of Socialist Tribes of Europa Subject: Weapons Testing We are to understand that you will be conducting military operations off of your northern shores. We also understand that this is near one of the main shipping routes used by the Medicinal Marijuana Research and Trade Alliance. While we understand Niederoestereich's past objections to the alliance's operations, we would appreciate that your forces take great care to ensure that vessels marked 'MMRTA' do not come to harm, lest the Alliance should suffer a tragic loss of civilian life. Edited August 16, 2005 by Social Alliance Of Mongol-Swedes (see edit history)
Meteorola Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 Meteorola would once again state its objections to the MMRTA's involvement in international disputes that do not concern it, as well as its continued occupation of an island off our northern shores. This is mainly for those that do not remember Meteorola not recoginizing the MMRTA as a political force, as well as its territorial claims. This is not a new threat- unless it comes to that of course
Mongol-Swedes Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 We of the Tribal Tribunal speak on behalf of this international government-sponsored, civilian managed and operated enterprise. We are not suggesting that the MMRTA is getting involved in this dispute, far from it. We are merely informing the nation of Niederoesterich that routine shipping of a demilitarized, international trade and scientific agreement occurs nearby their planned exercises. We are NOT attempting to get involved, we are concerned for the crews of the freighters.
Niederoestereich Posted August 16, 2005 Author Posted August 16, 2005 To: Representative of Chosen Nations From: Niederoestereich We strongly advise your aircraft do not enter the 20km radius. You have openly decreed your intent to spy on Niederoestereichian military installations. You must realise we cannot be held accountable for the loss of life due to your ignorance. Any deaths resulting from Chosen Nationian spy activity, will lay on your head, not ours. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To: Meteorola From: Niederoestereich We understand that it is international waters, although we have safety of international lives on our mind. We have selected this area for military weapons testing, on the grounds that it is isolated from general population. Although we do wish for these testing operations to remain as secretive as possible ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To: The Tribal Tribunal, The Union of Socialist Tribes of Europa From: Niederoestereich You do not have to fear for the crews on the freighters, unless they enter restricted waters. In that circumstance, the crew will be arrested and transported back to Niederoestereich, while their vessel is ether sunk or escorted to a major port.
The Chosen Nations Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 Although small TCN will not be swept out of the way. You will heed our words, and not kill any of our servicemen or women. The whole country is behind this stance and every citizen is willing to give their life. I doubt that you have such support from your citizens. It has no importance anyway, they will all die, no-matter what they believe, and their blood will be on your hands.
Orioni Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 *** Encryption enabled *** TO: Niederoestereich FROM: Orioni The statement by The Chosen Nations worries us: The Chosen Nations will advise all commercial planes and sea-craft to avoid the area, but will not abide by the 20km no-fly zone. The Chosen Nations is interested in the weapons development of all nations and will not miss this opportunity to find out about another nations armed-forces. Our stance towards your cause remains neutral. We would like to state that if you catch any of those 'chosen spies', it's probably best not to use them as guinea pigs for any new bullet-proof vests. It's best to steer away from any international incident.

Mongol-Swedes Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 To: The United Empire of Niederoestereich CC: The Chosen Nations From: The Union of Socialist Tribes of Europa Subject: Weapons Testing Alert We appreciate giving a fair, advanced warning of your weapons testing exercises that you have planned. Thanks to this, we, as the primary shipping nation of the MMRTA, have been able to alert all vessel captains to keep a respectable berth of the aforementioned restricted zone. Barring any sudden changes in weather patterns, our shipping will run smoothly. Again, we appreciate the advanced notice, and wish you luck in your exercises. As a strictly neutral party, we cannot pledge to intervene on your behalf, should elements of The Chosen Nations become hostile in this affair. As always, however, we will be happy to host any mediation efforts, should the situation come to require it.
The Chosen Nations Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 TCN would like to appoligise for its previous aggressive stance. TCAF will gather information from it's own shores. I hope I can be forgiven
Niederoestereich Posted August 27, 2005 Author Posted August 27, 2005 To: Concerning Nations From: Niederoestereich Subject: Testing Completed Weapons testing has ceased in the restricted areas as forementioned. All that can be released is that various testing was sucessfull including a new MIRV system, and sea trials of a new carrier. These tests are just the prelude for more planned military exercises in an attempt to modernise tactics whilst testing prototype military hardware. The testing area will be dismantled, and commerical vessels and aircraft are free to use the area again.
