Tagmatium Rules
Imperial Armouries Storefront This is the storefront for the Tagmatine Imperial Armouries, the state-owned weapons manufacturing company that provides all of the small arms for the various branches of the Tagmatine armed forces. There is a fairly wide range of small arms, from pistols to assault rifles to flame-throwers. To purchase, please post in this thread. Imperial Armouries Spathion Multirole Individual Weapon Assault Rifle This is the new standard-issue Tagmatine assault rifle, replacing the British-made SA-80a. It is the first Tagmatine fire-arm to be made specifically for standard issue. Built along the same bull-pup design as the SA-80 and the EM-2, it takes the larger 7mm (.280) round. It comes with the standard issue Tagmatine 30cm bayonet. It has an integral sight upon the carrying handle. It also has a telescopic butt and is able to fit a grenade launcher if necessary. The clip is 30-round. It has both a single shot and burst fire mode. It has ease of manufacture and maintainence. It is also very reilable, very unlikely to malfunction in combat. It is issued to both the People's Guard, Imperial Guard and Naval Guard. It does, however, have a ferocious recoil due to firing a round that is much larger than a other weapons of its class. This is due to the thinking in Tagmatium of the time, that "if you're going to put a hole in someone, it may as well be a big one". This has also resulted in the Spathion's common nick-name amongst Imperial troops, the "mule". Length: 890mm Weight: 4.2kg RPM: 650 Cost: 6000 Euros/US$2000 Imperial Armouries Paramerion Assault Carbine A smaller version of the Spathion, it fires the same cartridge. It is the standard weapon of tank and vehicle crews. It is also issued to ordinary soldiers if close-quarter fighting is expected, such as in a city battlefield. It also fits the 30cm bayonet and features a forward pistol-grip. It takes the 30-round clip. It has both a single shot and burst fire mode. Length: 680mm Weight: 3.9kg RPM: 650 Cost: 4500 Euros/US$1500 Imperial Armouries Kontarion Squad Support Weapon Again, based around the Spathion design. It has been lengthened, incoporates a muzzle-flare suppressor and takes a 100 round drum. The standard 30-round clip also fits. It has a forward pistol-grip, as well as a bipod-mount. It is an ideal squad-support weapon, as reliable as the assualt-rifle. It also takes the 30cm bayonet. It is fairly heavy, and the length makes it unweildy in close-quarters. It has a burst fire and automatic fire modes. Length: 1100mm Weight: 5kg RPM: 650 Cost: 9000 Euros/US$3000 Imperial Armouries Falx Sniper's Rifle This, the last varient on the Spathion Individual Weapon, is the Tagmatine Sniper's Rifle. It uses the same 7mm calibre round as the other three varients, but is extensively tooled to give maximum stopping power. It has a built in supressor and muzzle-flare hider. The forward grip has been replaced with a fibre/rubber one, giving improved grip and comfort in all conditions. The sight is very powerful, and incorporates Night Vision and InfraRed. The weapon as an effective range of 1600 metres. It has only single shot modes, and comes with a 10 round box magazine but, like all the others, is compatible with the 30 round box and 100 round drum. Fits bayonet. Length: 1000mm Weight: 4.47kg RPM: 650 Cost: 9000 Euros/US$3000 Imperial Armouries Tzikourion 9mm Pistol This is the standard Tagmatine side-arm. It is issued, as standard, to all soldiers in all the branches of the Tagmatine armed forces. It takes the standard 9mm round, making it more universal than the other IA weapons, whose ammunition is quite difficult to get hold of outside Tagmatium. It is reliable, made to very high standards, an ideal side arm in all conditions. Can be issued with a silencer/suppressor. It has a 15-round box magazine. Length: 200mm Weight: 0.8kg RPM: 240 Cost: 1500 Euros/US$500 Imperial Armouries Matzoukion .455 Pistol This pistol is heavier and fits a bigger magazine than the Tzikourion, and is mainly issued as an officer's side arm. This pistol fires the venerable .455 cartridge, used by the Tagmatine military since its inception in the late 1800s. This pistol shows a similar irregularity of ammunition as the assault rifles, so it means that potential purchasers would also have to consider either regularly purchasing large stocks off IA or the liscense to manufacture. Length: 250mm Weight: 1.1kg RPM: 300 Cost: 1950 Euros/US$650 Imperial Armouries Bardoukion .38 Pistol Recent battlefield experience amongst the Cataphract Armoured Corps has found that a magnum handgun is not desirable in the field, nor are several other features of the gun. This has led to all the existing guns being recalled and scrapped, and replaced with a .38 calibre, rather than .357 magnum. The hammer's spur has gone, as it had a nasty habit of catching on hatches and equipment in the tank, preventing quick entry and exit, as well as causing several accidents. As a result, it is now only double action. The loading method has also changed from the solid-frame to hinged-frame method, which also allows quicker loading. The weapon does retain its old looks. The old .44 magnum option is also disregarded, but all purchasers get a free replacement with special features. Length: 250mm Weight: 1.4kg RPM: 60 Cost: 2550 Euros/US$850 Imperial Armouries Spendone 12-gauge Semi-Automatic Shotgun This weapon is ideal for close-quarter fighting, such as in trenches or in and around buildings. It comes with solid and buckshot rounds. The fact that it is semi-automatic means there is no faffing about attempting to load another shot, the gun does it for you. Has a 10-round clip, which sits between the grip and trigger guard. Length: 700mm Weight: 4.1kg RPM: 120 Cost: 3000 Euros/US$1000 Imperial Armouries Akoution Sub-machinegun The sub-machinegun is often thought to be a weapon on the way out due to the introduction of the modern assualt rifle. The new Akoution attempts to plug a gap in the market after this. It has a 800rmp fire rate, a 40 round clip. The forward pistol-grip detachable, and there is a telescopic wire stock. It is ideal in close quarter fighting, such as in trenches and in and around buildings or for new conscripts, who can't be sure to hit with whatt ever gun they have. In order to pack a punch in close combat, it has a .45 calibre, similar to the Ingram Mac's. Length: 350mm Weight: 3kg RPM: 800 Cost: 2100 Euros/US$700 Imperial Armouries Menaulion Personal Defence Weapon This weapon is very easily concealed and carried, making it the perfect weapon for undercover operatives and snipers. It very rapid, and light, carried in one hand. It fires a scaled-down version of the standard Tagmatine 7mm round, designed to punch through most body armour available. It feautures either a 20-round or a 40 round box magazine, a telescopic stock and a folding fore-grip. Lenght: 250mm Weight: 2kg RPM: 800 Cost: 600 Euros The old SA-80a and ammunition is also for sale at a reduced price as army surplus. Ideal for terrorist organisations, insurgents and armies with a reduced buget. EDIT: Assault rifle names changed, pistol and submachine guns adjusted. Tagmatium Rules
The are known in Tagmatium as the Skiithica had been split into many petty statelets after the collapse of several neighbouring nations shook the area. The Skiithica Armament Company (SAC) made a large amount of money selling simple, cheap but effective weaponry to the various warlords and statelets that ruled in the area. Since the annexation of the Skiithica by the Greater Holy Empire, the SAC was absorbed by the state-owned Imperial Armouries (IA). A handful of the weapons available are still in production, but purely for the export market. SAC AR-9 Assault Rifle A cheap but effective assault rifle, not as powerful as the Spathion, but a fraction of the cost. Has few moving parts, and can be relied on in most situations, which is one of its main features, especially in organisations that do not have the time or the money to train their combatants to the level of a national army, or to cannon-fodder conscripts. Fits a thirty round clip, a folding stock and fires a .223 round. Can fit a bayonet. Length: 600mm Weight: 3kg RPM: 700 Cost: 1500 Euros/$750 SAC SMG-1 Sub-machine Gun Another cheap, reliable weapon, a sub-machine gun. Due to its inexpense, it has become very popular in the quasi-military forces in Plot 23, as well as many gangs and other illegal organisations. Has a folding stock, fires a 9mm cartridge. Length: 410mm Weight: 1.9kg RPM: 800 Cost: 1000 Euros/$500 SAC AS-1 Automatic Shotgun This weapon is not as cheap as the other weaponry, but is a lot more fearsome. An automatic shotgun with single shot and three-round burst modes, it strikes fear into all those who face it. Known by such colourful names as "blaster" and "street-sweeper", it shocked the Tagmatine soldiery who first encounted it. Manufactured for the paramilitary forces of warlords and statelets, it hasn't caught on in nation armies, and will not replace the Tagmatine Spendone in the People's or Imperial Guards, although the occasional example is held by individual soldiers. Has a fearsome recoil, as well as packing a huge punch. Fits a 50-round drum. Length: 600mm Weight 4.1kg RPM: 250 Cost: 6000 Euros/$2000 Edited June 22, 2006 by Tagmatium Rules (see edit history) Link to comment
Akiiryu
OOC: The old SA-80a and ammunition is also for sale at a reduced price as army surplus. Ideal for terrorist organisations, insurgents and armies with a reduced buget. So you supply terrorist organisations now...must keep that in mind when looking for a reason to blomb you to hell. Tagmatium Rules
After the annexation of the Borean Principaltities by the Greater Holy Empire, the Borean Weapons Company (BWC), owned by the Principality of Boreapolis, was taken over and absorbed by the state-owned Imperial Armouries (IA). As a result, several of the weapons manufactured by the BWC are now manufactured by IA and available for purchase. These are displayed below. Borean Weapons Company BC R-4 .303 Battle Rifle This weapon was originally designed in the late 1990's as a weapon with enough punch to negate the heavy body armour used by the Imperial Guard and Cataphracts of Tagmatium in the event of a hostile take-over of the Borean Principalities. The weapon features a wire folding stock, a gas-assisted system and a universal mounting rail on the upper part of the rifle. It is issued with a fifty-round drum as standard. It was never designed to be the standard issue armament of the soldiers of Boreapolis, rather only in the event they were to fight the ?lite of the Imperial army. It is best issued in special circumstances when the heavy round is needed. The weapon has a massive kick, as it fires a round with much more propellant than most modern assault rifles and a calibre from the Second World War. Length: 700mm Weight: 3.9kg RPM: 560 Cost: 8000 Euros/US$3000 Borean Weapons Company BC R-10 .50 Heavy Machine Gun A standard, large-calibre heavy machine gun. Mainly issued at the section or company level, this became the standard HMG of the People's Guard and Imperial Guard after the annexation of the Borean Principalities. It has some standard design features as the R-4 battle rifle, but the does not have the gas-assisted system, as the recoil of the gun was thought to be enough to negate this. It is issued with a 200-round drum, solid stock and either a folding bipod or tripod for support. It can be fixed to vehicles, and is often found in this form on Imperial tanks, landrovers and other motor vehicles. It also has a universal mounting rail, so it can fit almost all sight available. Tagmatium Rules
This is the final selection of small arms from the Imperial Armouries. These weapons are special-issue, issued to combat soldiers only rarely, where the situation means that standard weaponry is either of no use or needs to be supplemented by other, more powerful weapons to be as efficent as in ordinary conditions. Imperial Armouries Solenarion Semi-Automatic Revolving Grenade Launcher This is the Tagmatine armed forces grenade launcher, issued in operations that need heavy firepower and special ammunition. It fires a wide range of ammunition, from standard fragmentation rounds to smoke to tear-gas to solid rounds for a rudimentary armoured-piercing effect . It fires from a revolving cylinder in the bull-pup configuration that is almost standard for Tagmatine weaponry. The barrel is rifled for maximum power and range. Ammunition is only available from Imperial Armouries, but license to make the ammunition can be purchased. Length: 700mm Weight: 4.3kg RPM: 300 Cost: 8000 Euros/US$3000 Imperial Armouries Pyr-Syphon Flame-throwing Unit A weapon that is frowned upon by the many conventions on military laws, but is a traditional Tagmatine weapon, used since the dawn of the Empire and by the Eastern Roman Empire before it. It is used for getting rid of entrenched or hard-to-crack enemy positions or bunkers. The psychological effects of the weapon are much feared, due to its rather painful method of killing those hit by the bursts of flame. It fits a cylinder of fuel under its barrel, which can be easily reloaded. The spare cylinders do increase the vulnerability of the soldier carrying it. It is currently being used to great effect by the People's Guard units in the Lesser Jaihu Basin, although admittedly only against opium poppies. The ammunition is only available from Imperial Armouries, and its composition is a state-secret. Any attempts to reproduce it or analyise its make-up will be treated severly. Length: 800mm Weight: 2.4kg RPM: N/A Cost: 8000 Euros/US$3000 Imperial Armouries Securis Semi-Automatic .45 Pistol A bit of an odd-ball gun, designed to replace the old design of the Bardoukion, before battlefield experience demanded that the weapon be re-designed. It fires the same .45 round as the Akoution Submachine Gun, although this can be fired one-handed. There is doubt if this gun will ever be issued to the Tagmatine Military, as it is more of a novelty than real battlefield arm. The sheer size and weight of it means means that it tends towards the unweildly, but it can put a round clean through a human target, and well-deserves its nick-name of "manstopper". Tagmatium Rules
Imperial Armouries Xiphos Semi-Automatic 9mm Pistol This pistol is standard issue to the Internal Intelligence Inspectorate, Tagmatium's intelligence agency/secret police force. The weapon is a compact 9mm pistol, with a magazine that fits 18 rounds in two rows of 9. This, surprisingly, doesn't make the weapon too bulky. It doesn't feature a safety catch, as it is depressions of the trigger which cock and fire the weapon. A safety catch can be fitted if the purchaser wishes. An interesting feature of this weapon is that it fits a holster-stock. This stock has a part which fits to the lock of the pistol, allowing it to be turned into a light submachine gun, capable of firing a three-round burst. A burst limiter stops the weapon firing any more than three. Lenght: without stock: 150mm withstock: 440mm Weight: 0.7kg/1.1kg RPM: 240/800 Cost: 2550 Euros/US$850 Edited September 12, 2006 by Tagmatium Rules (see edit history) Link to comment
Tagmatium Rules
Imperial Armours Muiais .50 Calibre Sniper?s Rifle A large-calibre sniper?s rifle designed to punch through the heaviest body armour and even light vehicles with ease. It sticks to the Tagmatine school of thought of weapons, the more powerful, the better. It has been given the designation of ?Muiais?, which means ?mouse?, showing a sense of irony over the size and power of the rifle. It features an integral silencer and bipod, and like most Tagmatine weaponry, it is of the bullpup configuration. It features a five-round detachable box magazine. It is not a standard issue weapon, but is issued when soldiers need a heavier-calibre sniper?s rifle when conditions dictate that the Falx is not up to the job. Length: 795 mm with integral silencer Weight: 7kg with scope and silencer RPM: 100 Cost: 9000 Euros/$3000 Imperial Armouries Makhaira .38 Calibre Semi-Automatic Pistol Essentially a semi-automatic replacement for the .38 Bardoukion revolver used by the Cataphract Corps, although the unit itself prefers the revolver over any replacement. It is basically a cut down, larger calibre version of the Matzoukion officer?s side arm, although due to its larger calibre it has a 12-round box magazine instead of a fifteen round one. It can fit a suppressor and a sight, although these aren?t issued as standard, due to the nature of the Cataphract Corps. Once again, it isn?t a standard issue weapon, although Tagmatium may use this as a replacement weapon if the Bardoukion does not prove satisfactory during any up-coming conflicts.
