Vanarambaion Exclusive News Team

Invitations were sent out today to the United Federation of Karthenia and the Sublime Principate of Akiiryu to participate in the rededication of the cemetaries of the fallen soldiers in Vanarambaion of the Tamurin Civil War spill-over, long cited as the reason for the poor relations between the two countries. Particular pressure has been placed on the monarchs of the two countries to attend this ceremony, though the paricular reason for their requested presence is unknown. We'll keep you all informed on that situation if we hear any more.

Also invited to the ceremonies were monarchs or their representatives from the Socialist Nationalist Nation of Argenland, the Eternal Empire of Amnalos, the Grand Empire of Byzantium Nova, the Rogue Nation of Darkol, the Dominion of Deltannia, the Nomadic Peoples of Dragonryders, the Allied States of Europtima, the Isla Patriotica e independie of Free-Ekainak, the Federation of Great Kings, the Watchers of Ide Jima, the Protectorate of Karthene Separatists, the Allied States of Meteorola, the Stressed State of Niederoestereich, the Democratic Republic of Okaida, the Beautiful Empire of Orioni 2, the Armed Republic of Paranoid schizos, the Bored Peoples of Phil IV, the Research Center of San Ba, the Polity of Scipii, the Fractured Nation of Sevrun, the Greater Holy Empire of Tagmatium, the United Republic of Tamurin, and the Holy Democratic States of The Europa Empire. Religious-based nations will not be seated next to each other, and rogue nations and factions of other governments will be seated well apart from their counterparts. All efforts will be taken to ensure that this will be a peaceful gathering of monarchs for the ceremony.

Dear Honoured Friends and Allies,

Theodanaric, Prince of the Akiiryans, is currently considering your most welcomed invitation to honour the memory of those who fell in your noble country. The Baronic Council requests to know the following:

1) Will Vanarambaion allow the Prince to be accompnaied by his traditional bodyguard? No disrespect is intended to your great nation, but Akiiryan custom requires the Prince be attended by six (6) personal bodyguards at all times. These men and women will not be intrusive.

2) Can the Sublime Principate can assist in the cermonies proposed by providing both a ceremonial guard and band?

3) Would be acceptable for Akiiryan priests to offer prayers for the dead as is our custom?

On behalf of the Prince, the Baronic Council and the people of Akiiryu I salute the Emperor and the people of Vanarambaion.

May your bow strings remain tight and your arrows always find their mark.

T'Nith,

1st Minister,

Akiiryan Baronic Council

From: The Holy Confederacy of Vanarambaion

To Our Long-time Friends and Allies,

The Holy Confederacy of Vanarambaion has reviewed your requests and finds them all to be totally satisfactory. Accommodations will be made for as many guests and bodyguards as the Prince and his entourage deem to be necessary. There are several places in the ceremony where we would like Akiiryan assistance in blessing the dead and so forth. You may also send a band to play traditional Akiiryan music for parts of the ceremony. We had hoped that Akiiryan priests would complement Vanarambaion priests and priests of other nationalities during the ceremonies, so we look forward to working with them in that regard.

On behalf of the Holy Emperor, the Vanarambaion Parliament and the people of Vanarambaion I salute the Prince and the people of Akiiryu.

May those that love us, love us. And those that do not love us, my God turn their hearts. And if he cannot turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles, that we may know them by their limping.

Colonel Li'akan,

Acting Foreign Minister

Commanding Officer, ShadowCorps

We are honoured to accept this invitation from the Holy Confederacy. Even though our nations are often at loggerheads, and that Tagmatine troops played no part in the fighting in Vanarmabaion.

The Holy Emperor Commodus III is, as you could imagine, too busy at the moment with the unification between Tagmatium and the recently aquired territories to the north of the Greater Holy Empire. This is meant as no slight against your nation. It's work that has to be done. In his stead, we are sending the Vice-Chancellor Commenus to act as the delegate from the Greater Holy Empire. We will not be sending any religious personnel, as none from our faith died in this part of the war, and it is no place to force it upon others.

We also wish to accompany VC Commenus with a small escort of the Imperial Guard. Again, this is no slight upon your nation, but we feel that it is in the interests of his secruity.

Vice Chancellor Commenus will be made quite comfortable. Your requests for security presence will be granted, and your cordial attendance of the ceremonies is appreciated.

All security measures will be on high alert for the proceedings, as can be well imagined. Any additional security the diplomats wish to bring with them will be accomodated, so long as that detail is reasonably sized and has defensive equipment only.

From UFK

The Supreme Commander, General Ling Cao will certainly attend this ceremony, as will senior representatives of the Sovereign Military Council. The United Federation of Karthenia is a secular state, to the extent that there is no practiced religion as such, although many soldiers have a practise of remembering fallen heroes, such as the dead soldiers of Vanarambaion, and the Karthene delegates will likely do this. The Supreme Commander will be accompanied by his bodyguards, but as per your request, they will only be equipped with shockmauls, a riot control tool, and the closest to defensive weaponry in our arsenal.

We hope that this may in some way lead to improved relations between the UFK and Vanarambaion, and indeed with Akiiryu as well.

Subject: Rededication ceremony

Dear Vanarambaion,

I am deeply honoured by your invitation. Unfortunately I am unable to attend in person, due to my commitments in South Theissland and continued ill health. Also I would like to sincerely thank Vanarambaion for its support and aid after the recent attempt on my life.

In my stead I shall send my son, Crown Prince Corvind, to be my representative at the ceremony.

Yours sincerely,

Kano IV

Honoured Friends and Allies,

Preparations continue for the Principate's involvment in the rededication ceremonies. The 1st Company, 1st (Nimarci) Battalion, Horse Guards Regiment and the 1st Company, 3rd (Kaimona) Battalion, Mountian Guards Regiment have been selected as the Akiiryan contribution to the ceremonial honour guard (OOC: This is roughly 400 men, 200 of which will be mounted on specially trained ceremonial horses). The Sea Guards Regiment will provide the band. 20 Knights of the Stag will also be included in the Honour Guard. The selection of these elite units is indicative of the value the Prince and the Baronic Council place on these ceremonies.

Further information will follow.

May your bow strings remain tight and your arrows always find their mark.

We are honored by this invitation and we gladly accept. Unfortunately, not all 5 Senators can be present, but we expect three to be there, along with a traditional guard, if you wouldn't mind, for security reasons, of course. Grand Admiral Salani, along with several members of the Deltan Naval Council will also accompany with several aids. We will arrive with a small naval escort, to add to the security, as long as permitted, but we highly suggest it.

We thank you for this invitation, however we feel our attending this ceremony would not be appropriate, as Ide Jima was neutral at the time of the Tamurin Civil War. We wish you the best with all proceedings,

We are sorry, but it is our belief that our attendance will do nothing to honour the dead.

They would not appreciate the comiserations of a nation that was too caught up in it's own affairs to join the war.

We hope that this has not done anything to harm our international relations.

Security will be tightened to allow the Supreme Commander to move with impunity. We welcome and look forward to his arrival.

@Ide Jima - there's nothing that means more to the Vanarambaion people than honoring their dead. They don't often allow outsiders into their dead-honoring ceremonies, and refusal to attend without good reason is considered a huge disrespect to the dead. Just thought you might want a little background on the subject, that your ambassadors might have picked up on while in Vanarambaion.

If you do not feel that your presence is required, that is your business. If you decide at a later date that you wish to attend, a spot will be found for your delegation at that time.

The same can be said about Akiiryans.
