Senator Gaius
OOC: If you remember, way back when i returned here with Karthenia, I sort of RP'd the absorption of two smaller nations, Feday and Brindisi. The basic story is that to tie in with the expansion of Karthenia on the map, these two have now formally been pacified and absorbed, achieveing full membership status in the Federation. This is just to formalize it.  Voice of the Federation  Today, the Sovereign Military Council of the Federation formally welcomed the Republics of Feday and Brindisi. These states are the seventh and eighth members of the glorious Federation, and are making rapid progress into complete and total integration. Indeed, in Feday, love for the Federation is so great that native troops not Federation soldiers patrol the streets, the first time in our history that natives have been allowed to take control so qucikly. This bodes well for the future of the Federation.  Karthenia is not planning anymore expansion soon. The Supreme Commander is said to be confindent that other nations believe the Federation has acted with honour in this matter. Link to comment
Okaida
The Okaida Defense Forces are prepared to aid the conquered people in the event of any crimes against humanity possibly committed by Karthenia's military. Please handle this situation delicately and respect those who's rights you may or may not have violated throughout the integration process. Okaida is against any form of invasion of any country without reasonable cause. Link to comment
Senator Gaius
To Okaida From Karthenia  You would be advised to take anything Akiiryu says with a pinch of salt my friends. We have committed no worse acts than them in the past. We can assure you that the two absorbed Republics requested membership in the glorious Federation. Of course, not everyone was happy about it, but they have re-educated, given new insight into the Karthene way.  Oh, and threatening us is not wise. We'll let it slip, because your nation has shown a willing to be peaceful, after all it is holding the World Day, a very honourable role. We will not grant this magnanimity a second time.   EDIT: Oh yah, and it's now the United Federation of Karthenia, the UFK if yer lazy. Which i am Link to comment
Akiiryu
To: Okaida From: SPA Â Ignore the Karthenian threats. Their concept of diplomacy involves attempting to bully all those states who disagree with them. Karthenian's human rights record, or lack of one, speaks for itself. Akiiryu has nothing to say on the matter. Â OOC: SG Akiiryu said nothing. Its seems Karthenian is a little paranoid when it comes to Akiiryu. Link to comment
Haken
The people of our great (well... medium-sized anyway) nation are glad to see an other European nation grow, but we advise you to be careful with ferderations, they tend to create problems (with the intern borders and all). Link to comment
Vanarambaion
To: Okaida, Akiiryu, Karthenia From: Vanarambaion  If it was not Akiiryu that decried the human rights violations then who was it? I believe this should be investigated, especially with the admittance of a re-education program. Link to comment
Okaida
To: UFK From: Okaida  The nation of Okaida is a republic built on the virtues of liberty, unity, and democracy. In any normal circumstance the Okaida Defence Forces would be forced to build a coalition of freedom to liberate all supposed "captive" nations. In this case because of our previous interactions at our World Day Event we will leave all accusations of crime and possible action to the SPA armed forces. Please promote liberty and democracy in the future. Link to comment
Tagmatium Rules
To: Karthenia CC: The world From: The Greater Holy Empire of Tagmatium  The Greater Holy Empire congratulates the Republics of Feday and Brindisi in their gaining of full acceptance into the United Federation of Karthenia. Tagmatium also recognises that, in the past, Karthenia has been less than civilised in bring nations under its wing. So, to put the international community's fears at rest, the Holy Empire requests that it can send a team to investigate the accusations of war crimes. Okaida
OOC: Okaida, Akiiryu said nothing on the matter. Nor has it threatened the use of armed force. I am quite aware of your position. I simply believed Akiiryu would be more apt to take action due to your nations distrust of Karthenia. I was simply saying the nation of Okaida will not be involved in any conflict. Okaida
We in Okaida believe re-education programs are a sign of authoritatian brainwashing. We believe that a full investigation would be highly beneficial. Hopefully there will be no evidence of a authoritarian activity. We would like to know all news and information coming out of Karthenia isn't mere fabricated lies produced by a propaganda machine. Link to comment
Senator Gaius
From UFK To All Nations  We are prepared to allow an investigative team into the UFK, on the condition that it does not contain personnel from Akiiryu, Okaida, or Vanarambaion. We cannot trust their intentions. Tagmatium we have no problems with.    From UFK To Okaida <heavily encypted>  You have made an enemy today. The UFK will not forget this. You actions, accusing us of fabrication, lies and brutality show your dishonour. You have no basis for this, as the investigation will show. It seems we misjudged you. Good Day.   OOC: Ak, sounds like you want a war more than i do...isn't that a little worrying?  Link to comment
Akiiryu
To: UFK From: SPA CC: All nations. Â Karthenia has no reason to fear Akiiryu's intentions if it has nothing to hide. If you were to allow Akiiryan observers into the UFK you would soon learn that. It might even open up a bridge of dialogue between our two nations. Â Â Â Â Â Link to comment
Senator Gaius
To SPA From UFK Â The Supreme Commander believes your idea has merit, but we are still concerned about Akiiryan observors...not only do our histories hold problems, but with the recent terrorist uprising many commanders fear letting anyone into our nation..especially an Akiiryan. Â We shall hold it to a vote in the SMC, but we are not hopeful. We commend this effort however. Link to comment

OOC: Ak, sounds like you want a war more than i do...isn't that a little worrying? The government of the Democratic Republic of Okaida denies that its comments were "accusations". They were mere possibilities which Okaida military analysts had suggested and felt should be investigated. Okaida is a democracy built on the virtues of peace, liberty, prosperity, and diversity and does not wish to make any enemies within this region. We apologize to Karthenia for any latent feelings of resentment or threat but still feel the need for a coalition investigation by a nation or nations without conflictings relations with Karthenia. Senator Gaius
To Okaida From UFK  We have already agreed to allow and investigative team into the UFK, so do not imply we haven't. The SMC is voting now to see if we will let Akiiryan observers in, let us remind you that that has never happened before. We need explain nothing to you, however. You speak of diversity and yet at the first sign of another form of government you threaten violence. When you can govern a federation of six wholly different cultures, then you can speak of diversity. Link to comment

We cannot trust their intentions. Senator Gaius
To Niederostereich From UFK Â We have nothing to hide. Your teams will be allowed in along with everyone else. You speak of diversity and yet at the first sign of another form of government you threaten violence. When you can govern a federation of six wholly different cultures, then you can speak of diversity. To UFK From Okaida  Your nations government seems increasingly paranoid. Okaida did not imply you weren't allowing investigators into your borders. It seems as if the UFK is more apt to make accusations than anyone else. If your nation has nothing to hide then there is no reason you cannot trust any others. Okaida is a diverse nation and there is no need to create an unstable confederation to prove that. Diversity is within the people not the form of government they are ruled by.  Sincerely, Chancellor Davi Na'Sing   Link to comment
Senator Gaius
To Okaida From UFK Â And now you say we are unstable? This is preposterous, the United Federation of Karthenia is now more stable than ever. This is precisely the reason we cannot trust you to take part in the investiagations, you have a worse bias than the Akiiryans! Â OOC: and to all you pedants out there who want to bring up the Karthene City Uprising, that was not a question of instability in the Federation, but of a band of marxist soldiers kicking off. To UFK From Okaida  As we said before, the government of Okaida is not "implying" anything if we wanted to make a statement we would do it. This is not the time to "beat around the bush" as some would say. When we spoke of instability we meant within Okaida if we were to break into a confederation. Tagmatium Rules
To: UFK From: GHET Â We think it would be best if you did allow both the SPA and Okaida to investigate your nation, just to show there are no hard feeling, and to show that you have nothing to hide. A multi-national group of investigators, transending any alliances and prejudices. The Tagmatine delegates will be crossing the border from Cotyeum. It will be headed by General Wulfstan, who will investigate any claims of excessive use of military force against civilian population.
