Ide Jima Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 ooc: The North refers to ex 120 and 121... An unexpected announcement *IJBC* News Announcement. ***Large Crowds Gathered in Liberation Square, Serekan, The government has announced several massive changes*** Here is the speech delivered by the Ide Jiman president Marshall Radomir at 11pm this morning: ?People of Ide Jima. It has been made official. All our forces are to be withdrawn from the Northern provinces. These lands are not ethnically Ide Jiman, and many demand independence, it is unfair to keep them as part of our nation. The 2,000,000 troops in the north are to be pulled out of every town and city, bar Northwatch. For those of you here who have relatives in the North, all those Ide Jiman citizens there are being relocated south if they wish. There are several reasons why we are making this move: 1) Our nation is too large. Many ethnic groups are starting to use Violent means to state their cause. This move is to consolidate power in the south, and to open room for colonies. 2) There are no more minerals in the north. The shallow reserves have quickly been depleted, there are not enough resources to be extracted efficiently. The north is operating at a loss, despite it?s agricultural output. 3) As I have already said, it is not part of Ide Jima in religious or Ethnic terms. To occupy the peoples there against their own will is unfair. 4) It is unsafe- if a terrorist attack on Felanzhau were successful all the nations around the base of the CP would be blown to kingdom come. These reactors are being relocated to the south, along with all Ide Jiman machinery, military and agricultural equipment. 5) Ide Jima will however retain one enclave there; Northwatch airbase. This is so that the Ide Jiman airforce has quick access to all the major players in Europa by air. 6) Most towns will now be ghost towns. About 1 billion people are to be relocated to the south:- by land, sea and air. 7) This withdrawal will be complete within two years, by then new elections will have been held and Ide Jima will have a new president. 8) Marshall Jiangwei is to launch a final inquest into claims of genocide in the North. To any foreign powers who have heard this broadcast; we would appreciate any views on this move?.

Vanarambaion Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 As the Emperor read the morning telegrams, his eyebrows raised considerably when he read the Ambassador to Ide Jima's message. "Well...that can't be popular...nevertheless..." He turned to his aide ________________ Vanarambaion supports Ide Jima's move.
Argenland Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 This is a real "Massive Movilisation Population" ----------- Our support for this movilisation.

Mithril Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Saruwatari Sato was going through the daily reports onboard the submarine and he came across the Ide Jiman report. Sato thought it was a good move to pull out of the area if it wasn't going to be well supported. He also thought it was going to be an incredibly logistics feat to relocate that many people in just two years. He closed the report and went onto the next one...
Amnalos Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Amnalos applauds Ide Jima's decision. It shows great wisdom and maturity. We recognize that withdrawing such a large amount of people from a large area of land within two years will be a great logistical challenge. If there is any assistance we can offer, you have only to ask.
Ide Jima Posted June 28, 2005 Author Posted June 28, 2005 Many thanks, but such help will not be required, hundreds of ships are going across the Moratau straights every day, and STOL are using all airfields - and in some cases roads too. The Moratau span is in a constant state of traffic jam at the moment too, but otherwise everything is going to plan.
