Akiiryu
Any of you Euros know where I can find info on ferries between England and France? All I can find is for cars, and my wife and I will be on foot. Link to comment
Nevareion
I have used this site before: www.ferrybooker.com Went smoothly for me Link to comment
Akiiryu
cheers. How easy is it to get from Portsmouth to London? Link to comment
Phil VII
i live near portsmouth, its really easy, the ferryport is close to the station, just get a train from the station to either Waterloo or Victoria, the station you want is 'Portsmouth Harbour', and there's a bus depot just outside it, so its pretty easy to get to, the bus depot is called 'the hard' from portsmouth i think its about ?20-30 to london, although i could be wrong Link to comment

Akiiryu
And my wife says Europa is a a useless addiction... Thanks guys. The trains seem to go about every 15-30mins. Am I right in thinking this - The National Rail site seems to be down at the moment. Are there student fares? Link to comment
Nevareion
More like once per hour I think, and the cost is about ?20 per person as Phil said. The ferry port is a short bus ride from the city centre train station. Or there are coaches from the ferry port to London (National Express Coaches) and although it takes about an hour longer they are only about ?9 per person if cost is an issue. Haken
The Chunnel (Eurostar) is the fastest. And you can always go from the Uk to Ostend. Link to comment
Paranoid schizo
The train company is South West Trains that go from Portsmouth to London - they go into Waterloo I think. The ferries are Brittany ferries and P&O. As for the Portsmouth link that seems to be appearing...I live bout 45 minute away and am a season ticket holder for Pompey!! Oh, and you go almost past my house on the train to London!! Enjoy London. It's a great, if expensive, city. Have a drink in The Punch And Judy in Covent Garden for me! Link to comment
