Vanarambaion
Easy on the DuPonts. I'm not aware of the one you're referring to, but the DuPont family near me is very beneficial to our community as far as jobs, etc. I live in the US. I hope Bush gets re-elected. I hate what the man has done to the Republican Party and the nation, but the prospect of John Kerry as President nearly makes me wet my pants. Next, anyone? Link to comment

The Dupont guy that was responsible for banning the marijuana plant.(the plastics and oil guy)(hmmmm I think Stoned Smurf will have to answer this one ) About elections...its a very delicate subject and I don't know enough to debate...I just hope whoever is best for the country wins Its a very tight race at the moment and I am interested in hearing peoples opinions. Stoned Smurfs
well im an american threw and threw and would like to line up all the DuPonts Rockerfellers Bushes and Kerrys (hell even the katchup lady) AND SMACK THE sh*t OUT OF THEM. oh believe me theres more i would like to but eh. Bush is a TOTAL MORON! he makes up words, and dumb ones at that! sorta like when he said he was liberating Iraq for the "embetterment" of the country. come on, hes a f*ckin retard! Kerry, OMG dont get me started on this wuss. anything hes for he's also against. and DuPont, dont get me started on this wack ass family. from Goerge all the way to the guy who killed the olympic wrestler, they are all messed up. money can make people mad. ol G was worried that good ol mary jane would cut into his profits major and was hell bent and determined to make sure he had all the loot. FDR told everyone that they should grow atleast one plant per house in order to help the troops and a couple of you European guys. DuPont made sure to stop that. ok ok im done. ~Pot~ Link to comment

Phil VII
hmm, now dont get ME started on american elections, I just REALLY dont like the way that the president is elected more on his public image than on his policies, if he has a good public persona then he wins, they all try to make themselves out as 'all american super heros' as if they can do anything. and another thing, after the russian school terrorist tradgedy last week, when almost every other country in the world had the massacre on the front pages, in most american papers it was relegated to the inside pages, while the latest twist in the 'Bush vs Kerry' fiasco was all over the front page I'm english by the way... and yes i know tony's an idiot, but he hasnt done too badly at the head of the country, although im not sure he'll survive the next election, replaced by gorden brown at the least and as for my take on the Bush vs Kerry deal, i am actully rather scared, i think Bush is the lesser of the 2 evils, Kerry just comes across as a smarmy git who's hiding somthing, whereas Bush is a just bumbling fool Link to comment
Selene2u
Hi Phil, You're right about Kerry ...as time goes by I'm beginning to think there is something sinister about him...as much as I am for kicking Bush out...It scares me that he might actually be the better of the two...At least we know what Bush is up to...he wants to control the oil in the middle east...The Russian school hostage happening was horrible and very unfortunate...whats the world come to? Have you noticed how grey both Bush and Blair have become in the past year? they are both looking older. On a different note...whats England like to live in? Is it very expensive etc. compared to other places in Europe? We're thinking of moving somewhere else...thanks Link to comment
Valdeunia
Move o'er here to Ireland! Oh, yeah, I finally found time to come back to Europa lately....yay for me! Is it very expensive etc. compared to other places in Europe? We're thinking of moving somewhere else...thanks England and britain in genereal, is reoned fro being quite expensive cmpared to the rest of europe, but then again, we have a higher income rate to the rest of europe too, so it is partly due to inflation. at the moment house prices are veeeery high, there has been a housing market boom in the last couple years, although it is starting to slow now. Personolly i love britain, and wouldnt want to live anywhere else, but then ive lived here all my life, and am very patriotic.... where are you from anyway? are you european? american? canadian? Phil VII
yeh, houses are expensive, although i here that the rates for renting are fairly reasonable, maybe could look at that, also, northern areas are cheaper than down south, on avaerage, and london costs loads, but then again, ''it sure is grim oop north'' Link to comment
Byzantium Nova
Well. Since Vanarambaion told that he is republican I can reveal that I belong to Finnish Green Party. I am not anykind of hippy though. Link to comment
Vanarambaion
Awesome. I'm actually a very moderate Republican, and 95% of my staff is liberal. Some of them make Marx look conservative. It saves me from hearing myself all the time. I like liberals, they keep me honest. Link to comment

Phil VII
Grim is just me being a typical southerner ....It's not that bad really, where is your job oppertunity? what city? some places are better than others, the comment about grim is just a southerners steriotypical view of the 'north' being full of farmers and ex miners, i have famely up north, so i go there now and again, but i live right on the south coast, near portsmouth if you've heard of it.
