Nation in Eurth: Walneria Flag: Capital name: Tyrámen Capital location: Riverside city (on the map I provided ideally on one of the three rivers in the middle of the country) Stats Chosen: Viz my vision statement Factbook/iiwiki link: https://iiwiki.us/wiki/Walneria (Note: I hope to fill in the lore after I get the location, because I do not want to be vague) Culture: Walnerian (Germanic with very strong historical Slavic influence) Climate: Temperate or Subtropical. ideally Central European, or Balkan History: Historically an independent kingdom. lost its independence in 1640's. In 1820's, local uprising lead by the nobility ensures independence, but local stagnation and problems with dictatorial regimes start the 1880's revolution, which brings the nation close to being broken apart. In 1899, the conflict is conlcuded by establishment of the Confederacy of Walneria. In 1920's, the economy boom provided enough money for the country to quickly develop, even starting defensive lines against foreign threats. 1930's (or early 1940's), the country has been invaded by a foreign authoritarian power (mentioned in my academy story), which was eventually driven out of the country, which pushed Walnerians to looks suspiciously on the wurld and rather pushing neutral and isolationist policies while arming to the teeth for just in case scenarios. Since 1899, the country is a democracy. In 1912, women were given their votes and with few notable exceptions (such as during the mentioned war), elections are held. The last major reform of the system was in 1988, when the country shifted from bicameral to unicameral system. It is a parliamentary republic with a president as a representative. Desired Location: For lore, it would be ideal, if Walneria was located between an authoritarian Germanic country/bloc (Stedori and Velaheria play that role really well) and a democratic Slavic country/bloc (Possibly future comers?) (for interesting roleplay regarding the national identity of Walnerians).

After the December Prompts and the plans to move Metztlitlaca westward to allow for Oyus' Fearannteth, I have a couple requests for some new Metztlitlaca Cities. ● Movement of Altepetl Tekaken westward to remain near the centre of the country (and still the capital city). ● Adding the city of Azcapoƶinco / Azcapotzinco. Either version works as well as adding "Altepetl" ● Adding the city of Pomodoria City ● Adding Seylosian Kaseka. The city is going to play a semi-major role in the current Metztlitlaca expansion and as such having it's location on the map properly shown will be beneficial. Hopefully this is not too cumbersome/late. Thank you :).
  3. BIG EDIT : The topic's name has been changed from "Climate Map Rework" to "Eurth Map Rework", as this has become a much larger discussion on the map and changes that could be made. Hello everyone! I'm Creaturae / Gene, and I was told that it'd be a good idea to bring the conversation of a reworked climate map to the forums. So, here it goes! It's fairly obvious that the current climate map + ocean currents of Eurth are lacking when compared to other in-depth projects. Just compare the current climate map of Eurth to that of Earth. It's a fairly large gap in quality (though that is to be expected, as I don't believe anyone here is a professional cartographer nor has a team of scientists to back of the research of the climate map). So, what can be done to change this? That's where this forum comes in! I (until Orioni or any of the RP mentors tell me otherwise) will and have started work on a reworked climate map for Eurth. Now obviously, reworking the climate of the entire world can leave some nations in a difficult situation where their nation is suddenly in the middle of the desert or they have a climate akin to that of Siberia or Northern Canada. That's where this forum also comes in handy. If you have any problems with the climate that have been assigned, please let me know immediately so I can find some way around it, realistically or otherwise. To give an idea what this new climate map will look like, here is something I worked on before. Please note: this map is incorrect in multiple ways and I am in the process of remaking this again. Only use this map as a reference for the climate that you DO NOT want your nation to have. For what each color represents and what type of climate it is, please reference the Köppen climate classification Wikipedia page. And again, if you have any questions or general feedback about the climate map, please let me know! I'm not an expert on climates either and am getting all of my information from Artifexian videos and Wikipedia.
  4. Timezones. This is a thing now. https://i.imgur.com/H6gyzMo.png Some questions for all of you. Nations. Right now I've drawn vertical lines on the exact borders of each timezone. If your nation is in multiple zones, I will edit the lines to give you a better fit. This can also depend on the neighbours with which you have a close relationship. For this, I can follow national borders. For nations who stretch from east to west, I can also follow rivers or mountain ranges. Your choice. Names. At the top, you'll see an abbreviation underneath some timezones. You can request one of these as well. Just make sure to discuss it with your fellow nations before starting an argument here. So as @Orioni recently posted an update on locking down the old continent of Europa, there's one part of Europa that seems pretty easy to fill and I would like to discuss how to do that in the best or most interesting way. There are four major nations in this region which seem to be extremely powerful entities in Europa, @Suverina, @Adaptus , @Tagmatium Rules and @Great Burlington . They are mostly separated by no man's land. The enlargements I propose would be good roleplay material for @Adaptus, which he could RP first before claiming peninsulas in the new world. The new borders I propose for @Tagmatium Rules would make the nation geographically more cohesive and by having @Suverina dominate all of the Raga Sea would make it resemble the Roman Empire even more. Expanding @Great Burlington to the drawn line would also show appreciation for his RPs. What do you guys and gals think? The topography of the described area as it is now.
