  1. Ok, forget the SMG until we get nearer the end of this war. I've decided I would perfer to take a slightly moar proactive role. I'll have to do some planning before-hand.
  2. True enough. Though, the first submachine guns appeared near the end of WWI. I used that picture because it looked much better than photos of the actual WWI SMGs.
  3. Ooo... Tarentum wants to play. Though this seems to be the period in which my nation is transitioning from the old Tarent Empire into the Confederacy, which means the provisional government would like to stay out of the conflict. That's not to say we can't be of assisstance. The coming Confederacy would like nothing more than to see its neighbors destroying themselves. What better way to destroy one's frienemies than to have them destroy one another? Perhaps the Confederacy might have a new, shiny weapon the belligerents may be interested in? Namely, a submachine gun. Mind you it's no MP5 (or equivalent), it's still an automatic and compact weapon useful for clearing out those gnarly trenches if you can get that close, I'm sure someone might find a way. Or belligerents may also consider seeking loans from the Confederacy, or trying to sell war-bonds. There's iron and lumber and oil and even food here, too. If this drags on long enough to see the actually Confederacy given birth, I may shift gears and start fighting myself...
  4. F-97 Function: Fighter/Bomber Propulsion: 1 759-PN engine Thrust: 26,980 lb (120 kN) 40,500 lb (180 kN) with afterburner Length: 52.38 feet, 15.96 meters Height: 17.33 feet, 5.28 meters Wingspan: 34.46 feet, 10.50 meters Wing Area: 551.1 square feet Armament: one 27-mm Mauser cannon AIM-9 Sidewinder, AIM-120 AMRAAM, Apside, ASRAAM, IRIS-T, Meteor Storm Shadow, ALARM, Brimstone, 500-kg GPU, 1,000-kg GPU, GBU-24 LGB, Paveway II/III/IV, BL755 cluster Other ECM pods, reconnaissance pods The F-97 is an agile, highly maneuverable, twin-engine strike fighter, designed primarily for air superiority and air supremacy missions, with secondary attack capability. The aircraft's ability to gain air superiority beyond visual range and in close combat, and at the same time deliver high sortie rates against air, naval and ground targets in all weathers with a variety of weapons, demands close attention to pilot workload. The pilot flies through use of a computerized flight control system, which links to both the onboard detection systems and to a satellite based battlefield link-up system.
  5. F-102 Function: Air superiority fighter Propulsion: 2 F119-PW-100 engines Thrust: 35,000 lbst Length: 62.08 feet, 18.90 meters Height: 16.67 feet, 5.08 meters Wingspan: 44.5 feet, 13.56 meters Wing Area: 840 square feet Horizontal Tailspan: 29 feet, 8.84 meters Armament: Two AIM-11 Aircraft Intercepting Missiles six Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) one 20mm Gatling gun two 1,000-pound Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) The 'next-gen' fighter of the Confederation Air Forces. The F-102 incorporates some of the most modern and effective concepts and equiptment, such as; Stealth : Greatly increases survivability and lethality by denying the enemy critical information required to successfully attack the F-102 Integrated Avionics: Allows F-102 pilots unprecedented awareness of enemy forces through the fusion of on- and off-board information Supercruise: Enhances weapons effectiveness; allows rapid transit through the battlespace; reduces the enemy?s time to counter attack The F-102's engine is expected to be the first to provide the ability to fly faster than the speed of sound for an extended period of time without the high fuel consumption characteristic of aircraft that use afterburners to achieve supersonic speeds. It is expected to provide high performance and high fuel efficiency at slower speeds as well. For its primary air-to-air role, the F-102 will carry six AIM-120C and two AIM-11 missiles. For its air-to-ground role, the F-102 can internally carry two 1,000 pound-class Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM), two AMRAAM, and two AIM-11 missiles. With the Global Positioning System-guided JDAM, the F-102 will have an adverse weather capability to supplement the F-187 for air-to-ground missions after achieving air dominance. The F-102's combat configuration is "clean", that is, with all armament carried internally and with no external stores. This is an important factor in the F-102's stealth characteristics, and it improves the fighter's aerodynamics by dramatically reducing drag, which, in turn, improves the F-102's range. The F-102 has four under wing hardpoints, each capable of carrying 5,000 pounds. A single pylon design, which features forward and aft sway braces, an aft pivot, electrical connections, and fuel and air connections, is used. Either a 600-gallon fuel tank or two missile launchers can be attached to the bottom of the pylon, depending on the mission.
  6. I leave home for a few days and look what happens...the forums die. I cant very well leave you kiddies alone at all, can I?
  7. Has the map changed at all since I've been busy? I checked and it looks like its the same as before... Is there a new map somewhere or is that the one?
  8. "The trouble with so many of us is that we underestimate the power of simplicity. We have a tendency, it seems, to over complicate our lives and forget what's important and what's not. We tend to mistake movement for achievement. We tend to focus on activities instead of results. And as the pace of life continues to race along in the outside world, we forget that we have the power to control our lives regardless of what's going on out there." -Me (allegedly) It seems that there's a certain point in intoxication at which I become very philisophical and enlightened. Apparantly, I said the above thing at a party the other night, and one of my more sober friends thought it profound enough to write down. I can't even remeber how I got home that night... I wonder if I really have the depth portrayed here.
  9. ???You don't have Xlive??? C'mon man, this is the... uh... 20th century? 21st century? Gahh! You get it.
