  1. Khanikstan Defense Force to transfer 40,000 troops out of Manahal September 6th, 2021 By Dinesh Colak The Khanikstan Defense Force announced the transfer of roughly 40,000 active duty soldiers out of Manahal in an effort to restructure the deployment of the astounding 500,000 active service members. The KDF chose not to release specific numbers at the press conference led by the Head of the KDF General Turan Saban, where he assured that a large majority would be transferred to the south-east city of Okara. The KDF pledged that 6,000 men would be reassigned to the newly announced Operation Thrive, a military initiative to begin the construction of roads connecting the rural villages of Khanikstan to each other. The Khanikstan Observer was unable to acquire a map of the planned construction at this time. The removal of the troops is a good first step to making Manahal a potential destination for foreign diplomats. General Turan Saban did clarify that upgrades to the nations sole airport was a "non-priority" and reasserted that Operation Thrive's primary focus is on infrastructure that directly improves the lives of the citizens of Khanikstan. The press conference ended abruptly when a reporter asked Saban if the troop transfer to Okara was related to the August 18th Azbekistan Loyalist raid. "The Khanikstan Defense Force will not be making any decisions based on the whims of a cult". He left the podium immediately after his response. The Khanikstan Observer delivers articles unedited by the Khanikstan Communist Party thanks to the Khanikstan Free Journalism Practice, however the KCP reserves the right to refuse the publishing of any article at the KCPs discretion. 2. Supreme Leader Hamad Khan announces opening of the Khanikstan Foreign Office, invites wurld leaders to Manahal September 3rd, 2021 By Dinesh Colak With a surprise announcement out of Manahal today, His Respected Supreme Leader Hamad Khan took to the podium today and announced to all wurld leaders that Khanikstan was looking to make diplomatic ties with the international community. With economic opportunity being the bulk of the speech, His Respected also reassured the Khanikstan citizens that the war weary populace will need not worry about engaging in international warfare. "We have absolutely no interest in pursuing any conflict abroad, and all diplomatic relations will exclude military related discussion." He said, understanding why the 20,000,000 Khanikstianians are weary of opening the borders. He continued his speech by assuring that infrastructure development and economic stability are the two main focuses of the party. "As long as there are regions of the country that do not have road access to a major city, electricity in their homes, or water coming from their faucet, The Khanikstan Communist Party will not rest" Logistically, the KCP faces a few challenges ahead in actually receiving foreign diplomats, as the countries singular airport in the outskirts of Manahal boasts a singular airstrip. Another concern is the highly militarized state of Manahal. With it being home to 65,000 active duty soldiers spread between four separate military bases. The state department has continued to struggle with transitioning their bloated military and its resources to a more suitable deployment now that we remain at peace. This will continue to be a barrier to getting wurld leaders to enter the capital for the first time in decades. A party insider has shared with The Khanikstan Observer that foreign investment for a massive solar power restructuring of the electrical grid is at the top of their list. With a massive untapped labor pool (an astonishing 47% unemployment rate), another focus will be on construction of a port on the south of Chen lake to make exporting and importing goods much easier.
  3. Khanikstan Foreign Affairs Office The People's Republic of Khanikstan has opened its borders for diplomatic relations for the first time in its short history. All foreign policy changes and diplomatic outreach or comments by other nations will be posted here. Any questions regarding The Khanikstan Communist Parties current policies that may effect diplomatic relations with Khanikstan can be asked here. Head of State: Hamad Khan Minister of Foreign Relations: Jamaal Haswan
  4. Azbekistan Rebel Recruitment Den leads to arrest of 17 in KSIB sting August 18th, 2021 By Dinesh Colak The Khanikstan Special Investigation Bureau acted out the end of a seven month sting into an Azbekistan Loyalist camp located a short 13 miles outside the border city of Okara. This marks the second Loyalist camp being surrendered in just the last two weeks. The fact that the camp was located so close to a major population hub was quoted as "unimportant" after Lead Investigator Jaasir Bukhari took the podium Tuesday afternoon. "Okara is deeply loyal to His Respected Supreme Leader Hamad Kahn and the Communist Party and the most recent census backs up that data convincingly," he said with a noticeable bead of sweat dripping down his brow. "The low numbers at this recruitment meeting is being seen as a positive, no matter the distance to a larger city" When asked if there were firearms found at the camp, Lead Investigator Jassir Bukhari was definite in his answer that none were found on the premises. "While the KSIB is ready to admit that the Azbekistan Loyalist numbers were larger than originally expected, we are still deeply confident that the Azbekistan Loyalist rebels are unarmed and harmless. They're closer to evangelical cult leaders than a rebel milita at the way they are standing now." Bukhari doubled down on that statement a few minutes later in the conference by confirming that no current investigation into the Azbekistan Loyalists has led them to the conclusion that they have access to firearms. "The same precautions His Respected Supreme Leader Hamad Kahn put in place to keep guns off the streets and out of the hands of the general population are working against the Azbekistan Loyalsts just as well. The seventeen men present ranged between the ages of twelve and thirty five according to arrest records given to The Khanikstan Observer. It is unclear how many were already members prior to the camps siege. Thirty six KSIB Agents stormed the camp with the assistance of a nearby stationed division of the Khanikstan Armed Forces for transport purposes. The raid was reported to have taken less than seven minutes to complete. No shots we're fired during the raid. All seventeen men are facing 25 years in prison or 10 years of military service as per the Khanikstan Constitution's clear treason laws. The Khanikstan Observer was not allowed to speak with any of the arrested criminals The Khanikstan Observer delivers articles unedited by the Khanikstan Communist Party thanks to the Khanikstan Free Journalism Practice, however the KCP reserves the right to refuse the publishing of any article at the KCPs discretion. The Khanikstan Observer and its team of journalists fully supports the Khanikstan Communist Party and report the news as fact under His Respected Supreme Leader Khan's great kindness.
  5. Nation in Eurth: The People's Republic of Khanikstan Flag: If link doesnt work im in the discord Capital Name: Manahal Capital Location: Only real request is its tucked away somewhere that makes it a strategic stronghold. Mountainous or on a river (or both) would be good enough for me Stats Chosen: Population(1): 20,000,000 (extremely flexible here :)), GDP(1): 7,000. (I'm down to go lower to nerf, I just needed to use the point) Land Area (2): 300,000 Factbook/iiwiki link: It's a project to complete for the near future, but I went into pretty great detail my vision statement and hope thats enough for now! Culture: To paint in broad strokes, the culture pulls heavily from middle eastern countries Climate: Hot summers are really the only request I have here History: tldr of my vision statement: Khanikstan is only six years old, with the Khanikstan Communist Party taking power of former Azbekistan government after a brutal 40 year revolutionary war. The 46 years of isolationism and war has left a devastated and poverty stricken population that is now making foreign relations dire. Desired location: I would absolutely love if I could be inside this river pocket north of the lake labeled Chen. I've noticed that every country is built on a coast or against a country on a coast, so if that wouldn't be allowed since it's in the middle of nowhere, I understand. It would fit my lore in a lot of ways, and if my Capital was located on the west side right where the lake creates the north bound river I would have no complaints! If that location isn't possible, i'm very very flexible!

  7. This radio broadcast is brought to you by The Khanikstan Observer in support by The Khanikstan Communist Party. The Khanikstan Observer and its team of journalists fully supports the Khanikstan Communist Party and report the news as fact under His Respected Supreme Leader Hamad Khan's great kindness. The Television Broadcast is brought to you by The Khanikstan Communist Party. The voice of Ahmed Ayman is sent through the airwaves of Khanikstan. Villages all over Khanikstan are huddling around their village TV or tucked away in the homes with their hears pressed against the radios. Large cities are holding public viewing parties attracting people by the hundreds. The broadcast shows Ahmed Ayman in 480p sitting at a desk with a microphone in his hand pool side. "It's been 54 long years since this land has seen sporting competitions, and under His Respected Supreme Leader Hamad Khan's excellent guidance, he agrees that international sport is a viable path forward for the Khanikstan people to introduce themselves to the wurld after decades of war kept the country isolated. His Respected believes the Khanikstanian populous to be rife with wurld class swimmers, and has promised only the most excellent accommodations for national athletes. That decree two years leads us here today on the second anniversary of the announcement of the program. Today. 32 swimmers will take the pool to compete in the 100 meter freestyle race. For those listening from across Khanikstan unfamiliar with the swimming, a freestyle stroke is the classic form of swimming. Swimmers will be reaching their arms forward and pulling their arms back with the water while kicking their feet across the pool! Most of the original four thousand athletes competing admitted they had only learned to swim after the Supreme Leader's decree, so we hope this broadcast inspires Khanikstanians everywhere that they too can bring home some national pride." "Lets break it down to how we got here, and what today is going to look like." The broadcast switches to silent footage of Hamad Khan giving the decree, and then cycles through various clips of military personnel marching, working or training "Two years ago His Respected announced a national swimming program that would give only the best athletes a chance at a better life. With most of these men today active service members, a good showing in the pool could mean a lot right now with the political climate what it is" The broadcast cuts to a black screen. 45 seconds later, the broadcast cuts back to the set by the pool where Nazif Muhiddin sits with his microphone "While all Khanikstanian service members are deeply proud of their service for their country and the Khanikstan Communist Party, they most importantly want to show off the might of the Khanikstan Armed Forces by showing off their dominance as athletes. Now, lets break it down to how we got here, and what today is going to look like." The broadcast lists quickly through roughly four thousand names, before cycling through the 32 competitors here today. Footage of the athletes racing or at the pool "four thousand swimmers from military bases across the country took the pool in groups of eight, with the top thirty two fastest times earning you a spot today here in Varrock. Today, those thirty two swimmers will be broken down into four heats. The top sixteen times will advance to two semi final rounds where we will end our action for the day! The final race will take place a few weeks from today in honor of Supreme Leader Hamad Khan's 37th birthday. The fastest time coming in belonged to Houshmand Jarral out of Manahal's military base. He will be racing in the third heat of the day. Burak Khawaja is another name to note as he JUST squeaked in by a hair taking up the 32nd spot. If you think you remember his name, you might! Burak Khawaja was the Khanikstan Special Investigation Bureau (KSIB) agent who captured infamous radical Azbekistan loyalist Khamas Hoaral in a sting last spring. He's surely a crowd favorite going in!" The broadcast cuts to the pool, where the 8 swimmers in the first heat line up at their blocks. "We are poolside just a minute away from the beginning of a new prosperous era under His Respected Supreme Leader for many years to come. In our first heat we have eight athletes representing six different military bases. The swimmers have taken their mark, and the gun sounds! Khanikstan sports are back! The first length of the pool stays close, with the lead swimmer Zurvan Chauhan swimming at a rough 52 second pace right before the first turn. The names read Shadvari Mirani touching the wall first, Turag Prajapati second and Chauhan not far behind. The pace definitely increases in the last twenty five meters! A top three finish here will guarantee a spot in the semis and it looks like its gonna be a tight finish for the top three but a gap separates them from fourth. Vineet Ajnera gets his fingertips on the wall first! Mirani lands in second, Chauhan third. Turag Prajapati settles in at 50.87. With only sixteen spots available, he's got a lot of athletes still to race to test that time against. The broadcast shows the final results and they read Vineet Ajmera 49.53 Shadvard Mirani 49.57 Zurvan Chauhan 49.67 Turag Prajapati 50.87 Semih Chandio 51.63 Shervan Sangha 52.15 Zengin Bhatti 52.22 Tansal Mohmand 52.22 The broadcast remains at the final results screen for over two minutes. Silence flooded the airways until loud mic feedback blared its way through the nation's speakers. A third voice cuts through the feedback, corrects the mic and begins to speak in a calm monotone voice over the results graphic "The Khanikstan Communist Party is urging all citizens to return to their homes. This is not a drill. As of one hour from the end of this broadcast, Khanikstan is under strict curfew until further notice. No one will be permitted to leave their homes unless specified by Khanikstan Communist Party Official. This is not a drill. Criminals caught for breaking curfew will be treated as traitors to the Peoples Republic of Khanikstan. The KSP's seal is shown on the broadcast, the national anthem is played, and it fades to black.
  8. The People's Republic of Khanikstan is a one party Communistic state run by the Khanikstan Communist Party (KCP) that took ruling power over the fallen government of Azbekistan six short years ago. Led by His Dear Respected Supreme Leader Hamad Khan, the only son of Kerim Kahn, the original voice of the Khanikstan Revolutionaries. For centuries Azbekistan was ruled by a theocratic state with very little tolerance for opposing religious views, with Atheism being punishable by execution under the Divine Law. Harshly enforced religious ideals were so strong, that technological advancement was closely monitored by the Clergy to ensure nothing surpassed God's intended will for the human experience. Women's rights were non-existent with most being married away in their youth. Livestock was outlawed for consumption, including wool and milk (this struck controversy when the Azbekistan government imported livestock to feed their armies while still punishing the average citizen with death if they were to do the same). Public education was Creationist focused and heavily anti-science, with propaganda describing the international community as a wasteland of sinners. The Azbekistan people were brainwashed through religious indoctrination and viscous propaganda along with a strict Totalitarianism regime. In the mid 1960s, a nationwide famine after a historic drought began to expose holes in the Azbekistan's grip of power. Kerim Khan was a foreign novelist who was accepted access into the country under a special visa to help write the biography of His Prophet Isiktan Aydogan's (The functional Head of State between 1967 to 1987). A charming speaker and excellent writer, Kerim Kahn quickly rose to power within Isiktan Aydogan's social circle and after 2 short years of working closely together, he was named as his Lead Advisor. Kerim Kahn had convinced than Head of State Isiktan Aydogan that the lack of scientific progression in the country will be the downfall of the mighty Azbekistan empire as their vast amount of undeveloped land could be quick targets for foreign interests who don't see Azbekistan as capable of defending itself. Aydogan agreed with Khan, and publicly addressed the nation and proclaimed Kerim Kahn as "God's Mighty Whip", an unofficial title given from a prophet to a man trusted by God himself to lead armies in God's name. This was the second piece of the puzzle that began Kerim Kahn's rise. A key mistake Isiktan Aydogan made in the years leading up to the revolution was not familiarizing himself with Kerim Khan's background. Due to the harsh blackout of any foreign media entering their borders, Aydogan only knew Kahn from his fictional work "His Holy Fist", a book about a young Imam who goes on a quest with the son of God. Kerim Khan was a well spoken and highly acclaimed communistic scholar and novelist who had many published books supporting a communist revolution as the sole path forward. Once he was given access to the Azbekistan Armed Forces, Kerim Kahn made the decision to redirect 8,000 men (approximately one-third of the nations military) to the western mountain town of Manahal under the orders to protect the critical infrastructure in the city in case of a foreign invasion. With Manahal hosting 20% of the Azbekistan population but 60% of the countries manufacturing of strategic resources, it was the perfect place for Kahn to begin planting the seed of his revolution. over the next couple of years, communistic literature was exchanged openly among the Manahal garrison. Certain religious laws were quietly ignored amongst the soldiers, and eventually the city of Manahal under the careful calculation of Kerim Khan. The first was the introduction of dairy products, like milk and cheese, followed by access to more modern medical care banned by the state. While not holding any position of power of over the people of Manahal, he was still revered as a leader. Isiktan Aydogan's blessing from God was enough to build the kindling in the fire of revolution. When the drought of 1972 started and the resulting famine of 1976, the people of Manahal thrived under the leadership of Kerim Kahn who predicted the drought would leave the farmland untenable. He was able to grow the originally small herd of livestock into a respectable breeding ground. Once the food shortages started, he began discreetly allowing beef into the diet of the garrisoned troops. By time the famine was at its peak, the Manahal food reserves we're still holding up thanks to the strategic rationing and access to meat - an option no other city in the country had access to. Kerim Khan purposefully kept Isiktan Aydogan in the dark with the happenings in Manahal, and as far as he was aware they were suffering just as bad as the rest of Azbekistan. With a population on the brink of starvation, he mobilized the well-fed army to the neighboring villages with bundles of meat and low quality bread. It wasn't long until the power of the church started to unravel, while Aydogan struggled to solve the food crises. By 1972, Kerim Khan and the 8,000 men had secured around a third of all of Azbekistan's land and the entire western region. The communist revolution was quiet, but the citizens had an easy choice to make since Kerim Khan could promise food, and the consumption of that very food would lead to death under Azbekistan rule. On December 28th, 1972, Kerim Khan officially kicked off the revolutionary war when he ordered 2,000 men to enforce a blockade at the central city of Horuam, a strategic move that would cripple the supply lines of the eastern cities. With the move being the first the Azbekistan government had ever heard of a revolution thanks to Khan's careful planning and Aydogan's misplaced trust, the revolutionaries had plenty of time to secure a stronghold at Horuam and the nearby infrastructure. The first bullet wasn't fired until months later at the First Invasion of Varrock. The war continued at a stand still with either side unable to gain any permeant ground for nearly 30 years until a targeted air strike at a remote military safehouse killed Kerim Khan in 2012 at the age of 71 after 3 failed assassination attempts in 3 weeks. While the Azbekistan government began pushing propaganda celebrating the achievement of killing the communist leader, his son Hamad Khan seamlessly took his place at the chariot of his fathers war machine. A lot more hard headed and extreme with his ideas, he quickly wrapped up the war by using unethical practices like the bombing of war hospitals to accelerate the Azbekistani's surrender. Most importantly, his swift victory of the seemingly impenetrable Varrock in the Third Invasion of Varrock in 2014 was a strong declaration to the Azbekistani's and Revolutionaires alike that just like his father, Hamad Khan was God's Mighty Whip. On August 15th, 2015, Hamad Khan accepted the unconditional surrender of Azbekistan and named himself Supreme Leader of the Peoples Republic of Khanikstan. Six years later and the country is facing another food crises. With an abundance of undeveloped land and infrastructure devastated by decades of war and the gradual rise of Azbekistan Loyalists, Hamad Khan and the Khanikstan Communist Party have these challenges to make: Create a road network connecting all major cities and began planning on urban expansion Continue the fight against the possible Azbekistan Loyalist Rebellion Invest in public infrastructure to ensure all citizens have access to plumbing and clean water Open borders for wurld trade Solve food crises Hamad Khan and his father supported women's rights, but getting the culture to support them is a different story. Integrate women into the workforce. Integrate foreign private businesses to help grow the economy. Create and maintain a proper defense force and restructure the highly militarized state more efficiently Invest heavily in public education and the importing of academics to help solve the countries brain drain Gain respect on the wurld stage as a developed nation through sports
  9. YOUR RP NATION Full Name of Nation: People's Republic of Kahnikstan Government type of nation: One Party Communism Culture/ethnicity of your nation: Culture and ethnicities pull from traditional Middle Eastern RL countries, with 98% of citizens being naturally born. Give us a short description of your nation: The People's Republic of Khanikstan is a freshly raised government controlled by former warlord/revolutionary Hamad Kahn (son of Kerim Kahn) that is five years removed from taking power. Hamad Kahn's father, Kerim Kahn rose to power as a political figure after gaining sweeping popularity for his anti-capitalist and anti-religion ideals, giving a voice to the middle and lower class in a theocratic state ruled by religious elite. At the age of 64, thirty three years after the beginning of the revolution, Kerim Kahn was killed by a targeted airstrike by the Azbekistan Military. This only inspired the rebels, as Hamad Kahn effortlessly took his place at the reins of the chariot of his father's war machine. Within 2 years of his fathers death, Hamad reached his 5 year goal of taking the strategic city of Varrock, which later became the Capitol of Kahnikstan. After a brutal forty year war with the former government of Azbekistan, Hamad Kahn and his army of revolutionaries accepted the unconditional surrender of Azbekistan. His first decree as Supreme Leader was to rename the country after his father, Khanikstan. After 45 years of near complete isolation, Hamad Kahn and the Kahnikstan people are facing a food crises and Azbekistan rebels are gaining power in the foothills. Kahnikstan is trying to pivot from a highly militarized state greatly stunted by decades of war and unrest to a respected nation amongst the wurld stage. Hamad's leadership has been criticized as of late as his promise of communism has been interrupted by his failure to rebuild the crumbled infrastructure. With food, fuel, and healthcare being gridlocked, life in the rural parts of Kahnikstan are brutal and Azbekistan loyalist's voices are falling in curious ears. The People's Republic of Kahnikstan is desperate for foreign allies and a national spark to get the national morale up. Do you have an IIWiki page?: No, but I am excited to work on one!
