  2. Jean Vou Introduces the New New Collectivists' Party Following the catastrophic defeat the PNC (Lysian: Parti des Nouveaux Collectivistes) saw in the Chambre elections, party chairman Jean Vou has announced his new changes to the party which have already caused many hardliner Collectivists such as Igor Quint to leave the party. The change in question refers to the complete reshaping of the party from a far left conservative political group into a directly democratic political alliance. "The political parties of old are on the decline and in the future our political groupings will not be defined as left or right but as democratic and clandestine," Jean Vou said during the press release. The term directly democratic political alliance means that the decision making process of the PNC will be completely transparent and democratic with party members debating and voting on issues and how the PNC ought to handle them. The solution with the most votes will be the solution the PNC will seek. Among the first issues to be debated and voted upon is the PNC-LUP coalition in the Chambre of Representatives. Political analysts are calling this Vou's all-or-nothing gamble as the PNC attempts to reform and jump off the political spectrum in a similar fashion to the LUP. Despite PNC chairman Vou's old age, he is reforming the PNC into the most tech savvy political party as debate and voting will not only happen in party meetings, instead any registered and confirmed member can use their membership ID at www.pnc.sf to follow live-streamed meetings, debate and vote online on the site. The PNC website will also serve as a storage for all official meetings, chat logs and desicions taken by the broader membership. Will these reforms revolutionize Shffahkian politics with untold transparency and democratic prowess or is this a desperate gamble taken by a party with one foot in the grave? This all remains to be seen. King Aidan Named Temps' Person of the Year The Seylosian Monarch, King Aidan Redmond, has been named Person of the year 2019 by the weekly Port-Réel magazine TEMPS. The prestigious Port-Réel publication chooses each year a person of specific interest or importance be it a politician, celebrity or business person. Often these choices are made as a response to one event of notable salience as decided by the publication with aid from its staff of expert journalists and political experts. This year the one to be named was the Absolute Monarch of @Seylos: the seemingly insuperable King Aidan. Many expected the young royal to have been named person of the year in 2018 for his reforms in the country, however the Thalahassan Prime Minister Theresa Tumbleweed took the nomination for that year. On the cover is a translated quote from King Aidan's 2018 August speech saying "... monarchy cannot be everywhere all the time... " The speech was given to announce the commencement of the organizing of new democratic processes in the country under the authority of the crown. Alongside this, political power traditionally held by nobles has seen a staggering decrease at the beginning of the new king's reign. The new king is so popular that the disenfranchised populace of the Duchy of Éire is glad to welcome him as their new monarch after him having inherited the Duchy. Certainly the reign of this Seylosian monarch has been among the most promising on Eurth. The Kingdom of Seylos is a massively influential country in the Dolch See which is an important trade passage. Under King Aidan, Seylos has taken a harsh stance in the Enolian War condemning @Rihan and signed a Seylo-Galllambrian cooperation agreement showing that King Aidan is a serious force in international politics not afraid to stand for the rights of nations and the betterment of scientific research. "Despite this immensely promising beginning of King Aidan's reign, the Kingdom of Seylos still remains an absolute monarchy and it still remains to be seen how far King Aidan will take the democratization of Seylos as a country. Historically, Seylosian monarchs have been competent leaders, yet the late King Stuart has proven that this is not the case at all times. Whether King Aidan is willing to part with the absolute power granted by the crown to secure the country from another Stuart and give democracy more of a say in Seylosian matters will be a central point in the young monarch's reign." reads a more critical part of the article. Limonaian becomes second mandatory language As newly graduated High School students give their first university applications in, the Chambre of Representatives passed the Limonaian Baccalauréat Bill with the Collective of Ministers and the Federal Senate. The bill officially changes the structure of the Baccalauréat Général or matriculation exams. Previously, Shffahkian high school students have had to complete matriculation exams in Lysian, a humanistic science and two from the three options of Anglish, Esperanto or Long Maths in order to receive the Diplôme de Baccalauréat Général. For Limonaian speakers, the matriculation exam had compulsory Lysian alongside Anglish with optional Esperanto. In fact Shffahko-Limonaian universities have their own Laurea in place of the Baccalauréat général which is equal to the Baccalauréat Général The new changes give Shffahko-Lysian students a fourth choice: Limonaian. Limonaian can now be taken instead of Esperanto or Anglish. Limonaian has been a popular matriculation exam subject as universities value the language.

  5. Home | Orioni | World | Business | Tech | Science | Culture | Health | Sports Orinese election campaign to begin this week O'POLIS -- On Thursday the starting gun will fire for the Orinese election campaign. Campaigning for world’s third-largest democratic exercise (after the GHET and SSI general elections) is held over six months across 19 provinces. The national election is often a colourful affair. And this year’s vote is set to be more unusual. Early polling shows that the neo-liberal party PO&N is predicted to win big. And the increasingly nationalist Fronde Verdur, led by Nigela Merabiya, are also expected to make a return in the eastern provinces. High employment rate among young graduates O'POLIS -- It’s a good time to be a young Orinese graduate. New government figures show that the employment rate for the latest batch of spring graduates stands at 93 per cent, second only to the previous year’s record high of 94 per cent. As Orioni's population ages, the shortage of workers means that the quantity of jobs on offer now exceeds the number of graduates looking for work. Indeed, the tiny fall in employment this year has been put down to those who opted not to take a job in order to reapply for their first-choice companies. Employment for high-school graduates looks bright too – 97 per cent at the latest count, which is reminiscent of the economic boom of the bubble years. Estimates point to Orioni’s job surplus reaching 6,4 million by 2030. No wonder Chairlady Chandra Pristo proposed the revision to the country’s labour laws only last week. Government to ban export of plastic waste ZUIDHAVEN -- Orioni may soon end its longstanding practice of shipping plastics that it can’t recycle to other countries. The policy shift, now being debated, could take effect in mid-2020, forcing O'polis to find a way to dispose of 1,4 billion kilograms of plastic rubbish that it has been shipping annually to countries in Europa. Orioni has been slow to change its ways and excessive packaging remains the norm. Weaning itself off single-use plastic straws, bags and umbrella sleeves won’t be easy but it’s a hopeful sign that one of the Eurth’s biggest exporters of plastics waste could finally be cleaning up its act. Public transportation expanding in Gruis GRUIS -- Gruis is undergoing something of a revival: its food is promoted as the best in Orioni, demand for commercial real estate is up and its economy is doing well. No wonder, then, that city mayor Awidefale Rezovi intends to repair the roof while the sun’s shining. She has set her sights on reforming the city’s ageing public transport system. An order for 300 new buses was placed last year and extensions are ongoing for its light rail and one of its subway lines. But that’s not all. A new proposal unveiled on Monday would see more metro trains added and a new express bus route built. Rezovi may be onto something: a failure to update Gruis' network now may well hinder its ascendancy in the years to come.

    In the Shadows

~Act 3~ The Bridge "This weather is misrable," said Kassus from the back seat of his armored transport. He and his men had raced across Ralatak and Nelvek to the banks of the Vrekess. It had been raining for two days straight and it was astonishing that his lengthy convoy of men and material had not gotten bogged down in the mud. He would have to thank the Kirvinska for that when he next had the opportunity to visit, and if he was fortunate, as Praetor. His allies within the Phi'Tlaru had been working hard to concel his tracks but eventually the Praetor would find out and by then, it would be too late. Varak, his second-in-command responded, "it sould be subsiding tomorrow morning, then we can march across the Vrekess." "Not so fast, there is no rush." "What do you mean? We were the ones to initiate the offensive against Terix. If we linger too long, he'll surely react." "He already has, two legions are on their way," he said, "they are raw conscripts. They'll turn and flee -- not to mention that they are lead by two incompetent generals who got their ranks because they bribed their own superiors and the senators who backed their promotion. They are not a threat." "Then what do you propose?" "We'll set up camp along the river and wait." "For what?" she questioned though she suspected Kassus, the general she had served for years under, already had a intended sequence of events. "Dovos and Vabon are on their way to deliver messages to Generals Ayel Nevet and Enellis Vellon." "You want them to join us." "Yes," he remarked. "I do not doubt in the abilities of our own men in achieving our goals but I can promise something to both men that Mathon cannot." She remained quiet while he continued, "Ayel is a loyal soldier of the Republic but my contacts in the Phi'Tlaru tell me that the Praetor has grown tired of him, despite the fact that without him we'd still be tangling with the Enolians. I would offer him the leadership of a veteran legion." Kalenna looked him, "do you mean our forces?" "Certainly not," he retorted. "Our men would form the new Praetorian Guard while those currently in the unit along with other veteran would become the new Tenth." "As for Vellon?" she asked. "I am not sure yet. I still have to think about it." The car was coming to a halt when the secure telephone in the back seat went off. It was Tovik, a high-ranking spy within the Phi'Tlaru. "I have picked up a number of weakly encrypted transmissions between senators who are beginning to conspire about ousting Terix. I will keep you posted of developments as events continue to transpire." "Do you know who's leading that effort?" "Not yet but Gathan Darok's name appears frequently." "Thank you," and hung up. Antor, who had been riding in the vehicle behind the general, came up alongside Morror's side. "Tenth Regiment has already begun to set up initial fortfications and the Seventh are lining up artillery on our side of the river." "Antor," instructed Kassus, "can you please instruct a squad to immediately undertake scouting efforts on the western bank. I want an idea of where the two approaching legions are." "Yes sir," he responded and turned around to spotted Jeto." "Take your ten men across the river," he said. Jeto silently responded, putting his hand into a fist and hitting it against his chest. He proceeded to gather his men. Kassus' attendants and support staff had begun setting up his command tent. Both he and Kalenna, flanked by his bodyguard, walked through the rising encampment to a bridge. It was a mundane bridge, but it demarcated the border between Rihan proper and the new Provinces. Though they were quite far from the capital, Kassus remarked, "I can see the dome of the Hall of State from here."
  7. "...breaking news...General Morror Kassus and the soldiers of the Tenth Legion, in a scathing declaration delivered and read on the floor of the Senate this evening, states that they are on the warpath against our very Republic! In the message sent from Kassus he claims that the Republic is sick and that the leadership of the Praetor has been nothing but cowardice and incomptence. Following the reading of the message, the Praetor announced that he would instruct the First and Second Legions to arrest the general and dissolve his army, gaining support from many in the chamber. Several senators known to be closer of Senator Kassus were placed under arrest for conspiracy. The disloyal legion's exact position is unknown at this time..."

  12. Gangsta Granny 16th June 2019 - Article by Constance Risatta We all know grandmothers as the lovable - yet largely boring and old fashioned people in our lives. As much as we love them, we can't call them exciting. However, a new viral sensation is flourishing and gaining subscribers and views each passing day. And her name is Moore. Mable Moore. And she is at the ripe old age of 101. The 101-year old internet superstar now has over 800,000 subscribers and counting, fairly impressive especially considering her YouTube channel starting just over 3 months ago. Her most popular videos include: "My Morning Routine", "SNEAKED ONTO A SHIP FOR 24 HOURS (NOT CLICKBAIT!!!)" and her most famous with over 8 million views, "the time I almost accidently assassinated some king". Her funny and often somehow relatable content is released once a fortnight, with her dry and pretty ridiculous humour making her diverse range of videos a blast to watch. She is currently the most subscribed to Llaltese youtuber being first out of three youtubers, second place with a respectable 12 subscribers, and is currently the most followed Llaltese on twitter, beating out even the premier Eve Gallaghan herself. Despite all the fame that comes with youtube fame, her life has stayed the same in her small cottage that sits on the outskirts of St. Christopher. She lives on her own after her husband (Tue Moore) passed away a couple years ago but lives near to her daughter and grandchildren. Her youtube videos sometimes include stories of her family, home life, and past events involving her husband. Each topic no matter how dark, she always manages bring a light hearted yet funnily dry, witty and pessimistic funniness to it. Her daughter, Beryl Rivermore, said this, "You know, youtubing, or whatever you call it, is not the sort of career choice I'd expect any 100 and something or other to take. Especially mine. No matter, she really enjoys and it she seems to positively affect others lives, so why not?" The grand high mother herself was also asked to make a statement. She said, "I'm retired and a widow. So it's a pretty funky hobby in my opinion. I enjoy it and I hope my audience do."
  13. Tikva will be sending athletes to the Olympics.
  14. On the Ground Prime Minister Lasker was standing beside the President, Adar Rivikin. In many nations, the President was actually the true head of government but that was not the case here in Tikva -- he or she was merely a ceremonial position with very, very limited powers when it came to the day-to-day governance of the country. Not to mention that said individual could only have a single 9-year term. It was Rivkin's 8th year in office and over the course of his tenure, he had seen no less than 4 prime ministers come and ago. With the ongoing political instability in the Knesset, in his mind, he believed he'd have one more before he left the Presidential complex and retired to his lovely home by the sea. Jacob's mind was racing. His own governing coalition was barely holding together and the chairman of the Lev Party, the Finance Minister, was just about ready to jump ship. He had managed to keep him onboard at least for a few more weeks as to enable the impending meeting between himself and Desdemona Tomas-Morra to happen. Lasker was confident that if he could work out some form of initial structure around a long-lasting relationship between Tikva and Iverica that his sudo-rival would heel and remain onboard. But he wasn't going to risk it. He told his closest confidants to begin preparations for a potential early election towards the end of the summer. The politics at home would have to wait. Their agenda to some would have appeared light but both had sigificance to each nation: Lasker's greatest strength was his ability to open new markets and the discussion on lowering tariffs on a range of products would be seen as a positive outcome. Additionally, both Tikva and Iverica had many cultural and heritage sites and based on everything he had been told by the Iverican officials who had visited his Foreign Ministry in the weeks leading up to both the public invitation and the formal announcement, said it was something the Primo was very much interested in. Jacob's aide, Aaron, approached him. "I apologize for interrupting your train of thought sir but the Iverican aircraft is about the land." "Thank you," he responded and turned to the President. "We should welcome the Vice-Executive," he said. The assembled honor guard of soldiers from the Tzhal (Defense Force) got into position along the hastly rolled out red carpet leading from the staircase. The plane moved into its predetermined spot, the staircase was brought up alongside and within seconds, the door to the Iverican aircraft opened.
  15. The Rihan Republic intends to send athletes to Bogd Gioro.

  17. Hello there! My names Linus, but in-game/irp i prefer Naari. I love politics and roleplaying has been a hidden interest so i decided to try it out with my very own nation i created based on my liking with its own big inside problems, but also its structure and how it maybe will change. will it be because of internal pressure, pressure from neighbouring countries, or economial reasons? i don't know yet, however what i do know is that i wanna grow and become more experienced with political rp and would love to chat or rp with anyone who's interested. Thank for your time! ^^
  18. Naari wasn't the only staring at the giant television over the scene. She couldn't believe that it was less than one year since she founded her own political party, the Social's Peoples Party (SPP) and now it looked like her party will be the one grabbing most of the votes in this election, and therefor most seats in the parliament. Naari couldn't hold her own tears back as the votes slowly showed on the screen from as they got closer and closer to show a primary result. Around her were supporters screaming in joy of the shocking result, party members drinking by the bar as they hope for the best while the alcohol takes over their bodies, and of course a ton of reporters from the few big media outlets that are allowed to share news and stories. For a moment the polls dissapeared from the massive screen and on set was the current president Marko Cromés, leader of The Royal Citizens Coalition (RCC). He looked nervous as he was interviewed by a reporter and a camera. "What do you think the outcome will be?", Asked the reporter, relating to the shrinking gap between his own RCC and the opposing SPP. Marko gave his glasses a small push and scratched his bald head before anwsering with a chuckle. "The outcome? chaos of course. my party has govern this country for 12 years and i'm not gonna stop just because of a small slap." The reporter looked shocked from Markos anwser and it looked like she was gonna say something, but stopped before the first word left his mouth. Instead, he turned to the camera and said, "Ladies and gentlemen, back to my colleauges in the studio as the primary voting result is now ready!" People at the party yelled in excitment as the screen flashed white before showing a few people talking about the election. Naari knew that this is it. This is the moment her party will remember forever, the moment her newly formed party took power and changed the whole structure of North Mareik. This story is published with the approval of North Mareiks department of media and news

    The Red Trials

The Red Trials | The Supreme Court of Ahrana 14 Friday 2019 | 07:00 AST It was Friday the Second day since the Red Trials started, the First day of the Subjects Presentation of their Case the first of many to come. As the people in the Courts Lobby started heading to the Court Room where the Case would be held the rest of the duration of the Trials, they all looked at each other with a facial expression of confusion, eagerness and hope for some. Some looked for hope where the very thing of hope was not noticeable in a place like this. The Media were dressed like normal people in a court room and held on note pads and were being told not to release information till it has been okayed to do so. As the People and the Media walk in the Guards are at all exits and unlike the Ivanoff Trial these guards were not armed rifles but instead a standard Federal Police issued handgun and gear. The people got to their seats and sat and talked amongst themselves till the Head Guard stepped forth to speak: Please rise for the Justices of the Supreme Court. As the Four Justices walked into the room and took their seat the Chief Justice spoke: Please be seated and bring in the Subjects to the Box please. The Chief Justice had sat down while the Guards opened the Box Door and in walked the Subjects instead of wearing their Uniforms and Office Apparel they had been given the White Jumpsuits that Inmates get in the Prison System. On the back of each Jumpsuit it said, Moskovo Federal Maximum Security Prison. The Federal Government were not chancing it they placed them in the strictest Prison that was the closest to the Court and where they could easily move each of them without alerting people. They all go to their chair and were told to stay standing till they were told to sit. The Chief Justice then stood up and begin speaking: During the duration of this trial you will all be asked to tell the truth to each question asked and you are expected to answer truthfully as by answering untruly will ultimately end in giving you a charge of Perjury and will be added to the list of charges. When it is your case that is being presented you and your Lawyer will be sat at the Defendant Chair and you will respect the Rules of the Court Room procedures while the State is presenting its case as will they when your case is being presented. You all agreed to follow the Court Room Procedure and Etiquette by signing the paper this morning when you arrived to the Court House. You the accused may all be seated now. The Subjects and the Chief Justice all sat down and papers were shuffled at the head of the room by all of the justices, the First Lawyer was walked to the Defendant Chairs and the State walked to the Plaintiff Chair. Ingrid Clarks please stand and step forward to the door to be walked down please. As Ingrid was being walked all eyes were on Clarks many people looked at her with Shame others with rage, the silence in the room was intense and it could be cut with a knife as if nothing of sort happened. As the guard pulled her chair out and she sat the justice looked at her and begin speaking: Mrs. Clarks, you do understand all charges that have been brought forth to you and that they have all been properly explained to you and describe on the meaning correct? Yes I do your honor and I understand completely. Do you have anything in particular to add to them or would you like to make an opening statement to this Court Room? Your Honors I have nothing to add to them but I would like to make a Opening Statement if I may be allowed to. Please go ahead with the Statement then Mrs. Clarks. The Charges that have been placed on me are as they are and has been said yes, but what the people fail to realize that everything that I did was sanctioned by the Government and some of those people who were in the government at the time are still in the same positions that they were during the Revolution and after it. Why is it that I am being charged and not them they are the ones who issued the orders and the ones who told me to do what was issued. Yes, I did not challenge said orders nor did I question them, I took pride in those orders I was given and the ones I gave I would never change anything that I have done. It has been stated I created the system for imprisoning traitors to the people and of the Revolution that we all fought for, yes I did do such a thing. I believe that those who tried to flee and those who did not comply with the Party are traitors and deserve much more than what they got, they should've been killed instead they were just put to jail time. For those who do not understand the Military Way then I advise you to join the Military and experience it because now its noting its more of piece of S*** and isn't what it used to be its not the military I fought for and this is not the Country I fought to create this is a perversion of what the great Ivanoff created its a joke now. Thank you Mrs. Clark that will be all from you now please sit down, also understand any use of that language in this room will earn you a seat back in the Detention Box the rest of the duration of your trial. The State may present the case now please take the floor. Thank you Chief Justice Smith, now that we have the opening statement done I would like to take the time to remind everyone here that the things that will be discussed and shown is graphic and may be offensive to some people, if you are that person I do ask for you to leave without causing a disturbance. Mrs. Clarks has been charged with Four Counts of Mass Genocide in Peterburi, One Count of Mass Execution of Imperial Government Sympathizers, Three Counts of Embezzlement and One Count of Wire Fraud. These charges has been issued by the State or the Federal Government along with the Federal Republic of Peterburi which the majority of the crimes were committed. My first exhibit that I will show is a map of the Federation marked with the spots of which the Mass Graves are for the Genocide and Execution sites, I will also say before hand that all sites are not close to one another and they are spread out across Peterburi. As the State Prosecutor set up his map the Justices pointed to the board to have it placed in such a way that they could see it as well as the people inside the room. Okay as you all see the first found site that was connected to Mrs. Clark was found In the Village of Jamsa in the Northern Part of the Federal Republic, inside this site a massive amount of bodies were found all dumped inside the pit many of them could be seen with bullet holes in the back of the skulls in the middle back on the spherical part of the back skull. When the Forensic Personnel finished sorting the bodies into groups of how they possibly died they found another group that had no bullet holes nor any marks of hanging like a small group of bodies had. Instead these bodies were examined further and were found that they were gassed with mustard gas which is highly dangerous for humans to breathe in and to be around as it is volatile to the body. Sorry to interrupt you Prosecutor but could you give us a number of bodies that were shot, Hanged and Gassed please? Most certainly can your honors, the number of bodies that were Shot in any form were 75 Bodies, Number of Hanged was 65 and the Number of Gassed Bodies were 92 bring the total to 232 Bodies total which was on the low end of the spectrum. Mind you all that these bodies were dated to the time of the Pre-Revolution when the Tatani Conflict was going on actually. The last two sites that were found were dated to be towards the end of the Revolution when the Provisional Revolutionary Government was in power. None of the what are being called "Genocide" Holes were filled during the Revolution as Mrs. Clark was called out to the Socialist Province of Thralhaven which we suspect she committed many more atrocities but we have not yet found the evidence for those one. Prosecutor, Could you tell us exactly how the State became aware of these sites that were and are connected to Mrs. Clark were connected to her exactly. I and I believe the rest of us want to know how the sites were linked to her and if there were any leaks given to the Government or if they found documentation of the sites and so forth, basically explain how this was all found out please. I will Madam Justice Victoria, these sites were connected to Mrs. Clark due to one of her man she commanded during the Revolution and Post-Revolution came forward with information and maps that had the locations on them. The Map before you is the actual map that he gave us and it is the actual map that was in the hand of Mrs. Clark during these acts and after these Acts. The person who has given me permission to call him to the Chair for Statement which I will call forth now, was none other than her Second in Command who at the time of all Acts was normally drawing up all battle plans. Mr. Viktor Samas please come forward to the Chair please. Viktor Samas walked through the gate and looked at the Justices and took a seat. Mr. Samas you took your oath before coming into this Court Room and have swore before a Government Official to tell the truth about all questions asked and things shown to you correct? Yes I have swore that and I will tell all truths to all things asked. Very well, Mr. Samas please state your Full Name, Rank, and Age for the court please. I am Viktor Illyvanch Samas, Captain in the Federal Police Force of the Lavon District in the Federal Republic of Lockiee and I am 41 years of age. Thank you Mr. Samas, now please state to me and the Court that the map you seen in front of you is the very map you presented to the Federal Procurator not long ago. That is the very map that I handed over as evidence and that is the very map that Ingrid Clark had during the Pre-Revolution, Revolution and Post-Revolution period. I only came into possession of it when she had left it on my desk about a week after the Provisional Government was created and she had left to be in the Government Apparatus in Moskovo. I had been trying to get that map into my possession for weeks and she left the window of opportunity right before me one day. I turned it over to the Procurator who I knew was wanting to get their hands on to use against her in the upcoming case. So what you say is what you told the Procurator of the Federation the day you handed over all evidence that he asked for? Yes everything I gave him is what he asked for. Did the Procurator offer you anything I nreturn? No, he knew my wrap sheet for during the war and I did not hide the fact that I had a few things that would considered a Crime. When he asked me if I knew about my record of crimes and charges that were being brought against me I stated yes and understood jail time involved. I was recently let go from the Peterburi Correction Facility for my Charges and I have since been given a job in the Federal Police since I knew the structure and how to run the system of the Police. If I remember correct you just got out of the Facility last week serving a 15 month sentence correct? Yes Correct. Very well that's all the question have for you, you may leave and I levy for the Defense to be able to call him forth again if need be your honors. Your Honors I motion for a quick recess for say thirty minutes before my next piece which is highly disturbing. Very Well Councilor for the State we will allow the recess we will motion for a thirty-five minute to allow those who wish to leave to leave. (To Be Continued)
  20. Good luck! I hope things are better for you in the future!
  21. "Why, Mom?" When i was still a little kid, my mom always hugged me when i went home after school. It was always such a lovely hug. She then whispered to me, while still hugging my little body, "My little Rami, study hard so that you may work with those suited men out in the big cities. Don't end up as a poor farmer, like your mom and dad did. Staying here will get you nowhere." That's the words she whispered to me during my time in school. I didn't really understand what she really meant then, but deep down, i kept her words inside my heart. After graduating from high school, i immediately went to look for college in Ratunara, the nearest city from our little village. I had understood her words, and so were others in my village who were looking for the same opportunity in Ratunara. That was when i heard that a group of boy were going to apply for military academy. I went with them, confident that i will be accepted. I was a prodigy in my class, thanks to my mom's harsh lesson during my time in school. At times i complained, but now it all paid off. I didn't told my mother that i applied to a military academy, wanting to give her a pleasant surprise when i got accepted. And surely, i was accepted to the Gen. Mutalita Military Academy, named after the famous general from Selayari Civil War, forty years ago. I ran to the house after i got the letter that brought the good news, screaming with joy inside the house. Mom will be proud of me, i thought. And so i went to tell her. Her expression was unreadable while i was telling her the good news. She immediately walked away to her room with somber expression. I was utterly confused. Wasn't she supposed to feel the joy that i was feeling? After all, i was going to fulfill her wishes by moving into the big city. Mom cried in her room that night. She didn't sleep at all that night, so did I. I never understand why. Thirty-seven years later, and now i'm standing in her room, unoccupied safe for her cat that somehow managed to sneak in. She just died peacefully, three days ago in this very room. The bed is still made, the furniture still looks as if mom just polished it this morning, and there it is, the picture of my graduation night on the nightstand. It is as if she only left for the market, and will come back with food to cook for, like she always do when i still lived here. I open her wardrobe, and as expected, i found piles of clothes. But on the bottom of the wardrobe, there are papers. Curious, I take one in my hand and read it, 'To Vaniyara,...' Vaniyara, dad's name. These are letters, addressed to my dad. This is such a surprising find. She never really willing to talk about dad, only that he was a good-hearted man when he was still alive. Something must happened to him, about his death, but i never found out. Mom is always full of mystery and surprise, i think to myself. The letter i just took is dated August 19th 1982. The date where i got accepted to the military academy. I open the letter immediately, curiosity taking the better of me. "I do not know what should i do, oh my husband. If you were still here, you will know what to do. You always do. You are the wise one. But then if you were still alive, there wouldn't be any complications tonight. I still remember as clear as the day when you said that we would never let our son to become a soldier. You know first hand how difficult a life as a soldier was, especially during the height of the war. After your death in the battlefield just days after our little Rami was born, i took the words to my heart. Now, tonight, he brought the news that he is going to the military academy. That damned academy that trained soldiers that killed you years ago. Deep down, i know that he is doing it for me. He is going to live in the city like we dreamed of, before your death. Before the war. But how can i let him turned himself, unknowingly, into a killing machine for the king that we fought against then? My heart breaks into pieces. I don't know what to do. Oh my husband, how i wish you were still here beside me." Another is dated a week later, August 26th 1982. "Our little Rami finally depart for the city. He doesn't understand why i didn't feel joy that he must've felt. Why i cried at night. I wish i could tell him, but i just couldn't bring myself. How could i share this suffering of mine with him? He is still such a sweet little kid. I let him go to the academy. I could stop him. I would do anything to fulfill your words that our son should never become a soldier. But what i couldn't do is breaking his heart. He is such a happy man, oh Vaniyara. I hope you forgive me, my husband..." Tears filled my eyes, so much that i can't read the rest of the letter. Not that i need to. Now i understand why mom was never happy with my military life. Why Mom always wept days after my birthday. It's the date when Dad died. She hid such a burden for years, trying to keep me happy with her best effort, despite the turmoil inside her heart. Part of me hate her for keeping this away from me. I deserve to know this, yet she never shared it with him. But the other part of me love her so much for what she had done to keep me happy, despite her shortcomings. I weep so hard like i never do in my whole life. The sound of a book falling down the wardrobe wake me up from my weeping. A non-descript notebook, with yellowing pages inside it. A letter is tucked inside the notebook. I take the letter, and read it. Tears almost wet the letter, if not for my quick reflex. "My little Rami, i would've never let you in to the life that I and your dad took in. But you must know, i kept this life of mine from you for your greater good. But if you read this letter, that means i've trusted you enough, or that i've met your dad in the afterlife. You must know, my boy, about the secret organisation that your dad died protecting for. It's what they call 'the Blood Crown' movement this day..."
  22. Hey guys. So as you guys may have noticed, I've been spending far less time here than I have in the past. So yeah, I'm taking leaving. No, I don't think (wholeheartedly) I am leaving for good. This summer has (already) been one of a lot of change in priority and mentality for me, and right now I think I need to take some time off to discover myself. I don't know how long I will be gone, a week, a month, a year, but know this: you all are awesome; I've thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent plotting with you all, and just expressing stuff through these posts. Who would have thought there would be so much fun making up policy for an imaginary country. Thank you all, and until we meet again, Bulgenstaz, signing out! See you all whenever! :^) ( P.S. I'm just going to move my country's elections to whenever I feel like it (yes, as god-emperor of Bulgenstaz I can do that), and all my RP is on temporary space-time-hold, sorry! I have always had ideas, and I will certainly do stuff with it upon my return. )

  25. To: Government of the Federation of @Ahrana From: Dniester State Ministry of Foreign Affairs Due to recent events surrounding the trials of these so-called "War Criminals" in these fake "Red Trials", the Government of Dniester has been forced to issue an open letter to the Federation of Ahrana, of which decries these set-up and rigged trials of which have committed no crime except for acting in the best interests of Ahrana under the rule of Greggor Ivanoff, Secretary General of the Socialist Federation, President of the Confederate of Independent Socialists and Field Marshal of the Armed Forces. General Ivanoff was a great man who led Ahrana to glory, and these fake trials only serve to further push the agenda of the corrupt and illegitimate Government of Ahrana. Now I will hand the floor to the Federal President for a few Words. The Federal President: Thank you Chief Justice Ryan. Now today and the following weeks are most certainly going to be in our History Books in the future as it will dictate how this Country recovers and handles its past. The atrocities that these People have committed are gravely unsatisfying and disturbing no doubt but this Trial must happen. The Core Government paved the way for this trial and those that will come after this one and it is with that precedent that we must make those who committed such acts pay for their actions and show them and others that its not tolerable nor is it okay for such things to ever happen. It is my hope that with this trial and those before and after it will help us remember what has happened and what should never happen. Thank you, I will now leave the floor to the Chief Justice again. The Chief Justice: This Court will reconvene Tomorrow at 07:00 AST to hear the first Subjects case, the Case of Ingrid Clarks. Thank you all for being here today. This Court is in recess till tomorrow at 07:00 AST all will convene here tomorrow to bare witness to history in the making. Thank you.
